Sat, 03 Oct 2015 07:58:01 -0700

Nationals | Yunel Escobar, Michael Taylor resting

Tue, 29 Sep 2015 14:02:58 -0700

Washington Nationals 3B Yunel Escobar and OF Michael Taylor are both resting Tuesday, Sept. 29, against the Atlanta Braves. SS Trea Turner and OF Matt den Dekker are in the lineup, with Turner hitting second and den Dekker hitting seventh against Braves SP Matt Wisler.

Fantasy Tip: Escobar ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) and Taylor ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) appear to be getting normal nights off from the lineup, and this is Escobar's second day off in a row. Escobar is hitting .125 against Wisler and Taylor is a .200 career hitter. Turner ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) could be a deep sleeper entering 2016, as the Nationals are high enough on him to let Ian Desmond walk via free agency.

Nationals | Nats regulars being rested

Mon, 28 Sep 2015 11:11:08 -0700

Washington Nationals 3B Yunel Escobar, SS Ian Desmond and OF Jayson Werth are all out of the lineup Monday, Sept. 28. 2B Anthony Rendon moves to third base and is hitting third, SS Trea Turner is starting at the 6 and hitting second and OF Matt den Dekker is starting in right field and hitting seventh against Cincinnati Reds SP Brandon Finnegan. 2B Dan Uggla draws a start at second base and is batting eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Turner ($2,500, 5.0% of cap) has some appeal as a deep sleeper because of his upside on FantasyScore, but Rendon ($5,000, 10.0% of cap) is realistically the only player here worth putting into your FantasyScore lineup. Despite no homers against lefties this year, he's batting .328 (19-for-58) against them.

Fantasy Tip: Zimmerman ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) and Werth ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) return from lengthy absences and could receive more days off initially since they are returning from injuries. Owners on FantasyScore may want to see them play in a game or two before using them in their lineup.

Nationals | Clint Robinson a late scratch

Fri, 24 Jul 2015 15:53:48 -0700

Washington Nationals 1B Clint Robinson (illness) was a late scratch against the New York Mets Friday, July 24, due to illness. OF Matt den Dekker draws into the lineup in left field, and he will bat eighth against Pittsburgh Pirates SP Jeff Locke Friday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to remove Robinson ($3,500, 7.0% of cap) from your fantasy lineups Friday. den Dekker ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is nothing more than a desperation source of cap relief Friday, and FantasyScore players should likely look elsewhere.

Nationals | Matt den Dekker batting eighth vs. Mets

Mon, 20 Jul 2015 12:47:45 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Matt den Dekker is starting in left field and batting eighth against New York Mets SP Matt Harvey Monday, July 20.

Fantasy Tip: Typically, den Dekker ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) drawing in at minimum salary would make him a potential low-priced flier. It is a daunting matchup Monday against Harvey, though. Plus, den Dekker has just 32 plate appearances this season.

Sun, 19 Jul 2015 08:32:40 -0700

Washington Nationals OF Tyler Moore is not in the starting lineup against Los Angeles Dodgers SP Zack Greinke Sunday, July 19. 1B Clint Robinson will start at first base and is batting fourth, while OF Matt den Dekker will start in left field and is batting sixth.

Fantasy Tip: Moore ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) should be back in the starting lineup in the next few games. den Dekker ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) has three hits and two RBI over his last six games and is not a great option for owners on FantasyScore.
