St. Louis Cardinals RP Trevor Rosenthal (groin) threw a 15-pitch live batting practice session Wednesday, March 5, and he plans to make his spring debut by the end of the weekend. He hasn't had any setbacks with his groin strain. "Everything felt normal," he said. "I feel strong. I'm excited. My schedule is normal now." Rosenthal wants to make "at least six or seven" appearances this spring.
Fantasy Tip: Rosenthal, as a reliever, has more than enough time to be ready for opening day. He's just beneath the group of top-tier closers for fantasy baseball. Although he's young an inexperienced in the role, he has the stuff to be dominant in the ninth inning.

St. Louis Cardinals RP Trevor Rosenthal (groin) will throw live batting practice Wednesday, March 5. This is believed to be his final test before returning to game action.
Fantasy Tip: He still has plenty of time to get ready for the start of the season. He could be a bit overvalued because of his electric stuff and great rookie season. He's still unproven as a closer, but his strikeout potential puts him in the upper echelon of relievers.

Updating previous reports, St. Louis Cardinals RP Trevor Rosenthal (groin) suffered a strained right groin Tuesday, Feb. 25, but doesn't think the injury will keep him out for long. "If it was during the season, I feel like it would be something not worth stopping (for)," Rosenthal said. "With the situation being now, I just thought I would say something. I felt it once, so I said something as soon as I could."
Fantasy Tip: Rosenthal will have plenty of time to get ready for the regular season. There shouldn't be anything to worry about here.
