The New York Giants are looking for a consistent third receiver behind restricted free-agent WR Victor Cruz and oft-injured WR Hakeem Nicks. WRs Ramses Barden and Domenik Hixon are each impending free agents, which leaves WR Jerrel Jernigan to battle WR Rueben Randle for the third receiver job. Jernigan and Randle are both expected to show growth during the offseason.

New York Giants WR Rueben Randle had a pair of catches for 26 yards and his first career touchdown reception in the Week 12 game against the Green Bay Packers.
Fantasy Tip: The Giants have been waiting for someone to step up as the team's third receiver, and Randle might be that guy. Still, despite the touchdown, he is only worth a roster spot in the deepest of fantasy leagues at this point.

New York Giants wide receivers coach Kevin M. Gilbride said he likes how WR Rueben Randle developed this season and how he has picked up the offense. "I'd say he has a grasp of understanding the offense, understanding techniques and then actually getting on the field and executing it," Gilbride said. "He's just made steps in the right direction. He's not where he needs to be, but he's getting there. Then hopefully down the stretch run, he can really be a factor helping our team."
