All indications are that the Dallas Cowboys would be extremely pleased if Alabama SS Mark Barron is still on the board when they get on the clock with the 14th overall pick in the NFL Draft. However, if Barron and other targets are gone, the team could attempt to trade down, gaining extra picks to move toward the bottom of the first round. In that scenario, there is a strong possibility that the Cowboys could target Alabama LB Dont'a Hightower.

The Dallas Cowboys will likely select Alabama CB Dre Kirkpatrick, LB Courtney Upshaw, S Mark Barron or LB Dont'a Hightower with their first-round pick in the NFL Draft. Head coach Jason Garrett's presence at the school's Pro Day - the only one he plans to attend - is a pretty good sign that one of those guys will be selected by the team.
