|Dolphins | Future bright for Ryan Tannehill?|
Thu, 30 Apr 2015 19:48:29 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Tannehill turned out to be a low-end QB1 last year, and with added firepower at his disposal and another year of experience under his belt, he should at least be able to duplicate his results in 2015. He is a great quarterback to target if you decide to pass on the high-end QB1 options in fantasy drafts.

|Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill's option picked up|
Wed, 29 Apr 2015 18:09:41 -0700
Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill had his fifth-year option picked up Wednesday, April 29, according to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport. The option is worth $16 million for 2016 and is fully guaranteed only in the event of an injury. The Dolphins plan to work out a long-term deal prior to the season opener.
Fantasy Tip: Tannehill will enter the season as a top-15 quarterback and will be a late-round option in fantasy drafts. That said, if Tannehill is able to take the next step in his development, it's not out of the question for him to perform as a top-10 player at his position.

|Dolphins | Miami waiting on Ryan Tannehill option|
Mon, 27 Apr 2015 11:17:29 -0700
Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill's fifth-year option has yet to be picked up. The deadline for the option to be picked up is Sunday, May 3. "Look, Ryan is here, we're excited he is here, we haven't made any decisions yet," vice president Mike Tannenbaum said. "We know when the deadline is and we'll make those decisions when we get there. The fifth-year option for 2016 is worth about $15 million.
Fantasy Tip: The Dolphins could still give Tannehill a long-term extension if they don't want to pick up his option. Tannehill had the best season of his career in 2014. A receiving corps of Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills and Greg Jennings, not to mention Jordan Cameron and Charles Clay at tight end, should give Tannehill plenty of opportunities to succeed. He has QB1 potential but should still be considered a QB2 at this point.

|Dolphins | MIA unsure on Ryan Tannehill extension|
Fri, 24 Apr 2015 14:15:26 -0700
Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill is a player the team has not decided on if they will sign to a contract extension at this point, according to executive vice president of football operations Mike Tannenbaum.
Fantasy Tip: Tannehill likely will be a candidate for a contract extension at some point, but it may not happen until later in the offseason. Tannehill posted career highs in passing yards with 4,045 yards and in touchdowns with 27 in 2014. Tannehill probably will not be an every-week starter in 2015 but should be a solid option against certain matchup.

|Dolphins | Miami wants to lock up Ryan Tannehill|
Mon, 13 Apr 2015 19:41:19 -0700
The Miami Dolphins are committed to getting a contract extension done with QB Ryan Tannehill before the start of the regular season. However, there have been no formal discussions between Tannehill's representatives and the Dolphins since the NFL Scouting Combine. If a new deal cannot be reached, the team can still exercise his fifth-year option to keep him under control through the 2016 season. He would be paid roughly $16 million for 2016 under that scenario.
Fantasy Tip: Tannehill posted a team record for completions in 2014, and he will now have Mike Pouncey protect him for a while after the center signed an extension. The Dolphins believe Tannehill can be a franchise quarterback, but fantasy owners should still consider him in the middle-third of all NFL starters at his position.

|Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill may have option picked up|
Mon, 23 Mar 2015 15:55:59 -0700
Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill's fifth-year option will be picked up if the team is not able to sign him to a contract extension over the next six weeks, according to sources. Tannehill would make $16 million in 2016 if his option is picked up. It is believed the Dolphins have talked about signing Tannehill to a six-year deal worth more than $100 million.
Fantasy Tip: Tannehill play very well this past season and will look to build on his success next season. He will have some different weapons to work with next season, and it is not known if that will affect his performance much. Tannehill probably will be a starting option on FantasyScore against certain teams next season.

|Dolphins | Ryan Tannehill wants Mike Wallace back|
Tue, 03 Mar 2015 11:03:39 -0800
Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill said he cleared the air with WR Mike Wallace, and the two have no problem. Tannehill said he wants Wallace to return, and the team will consider Tannehill's input when they make their decision on Wallace.
Fantasy Tip: Wallace is being difficult with Miami, as he's said he won't restructure his current contract. The Dolphins could save quite a bit of cash if they decide to cut Wallace outright. It may be in Miami's best interests to retain Wallace, however, if at least for the sake of Tannehill's future after they already cut Brandon Gibson and Brian Hartline. Wallace had a disappointing 2014 season, but he still managed 67 catches for 862 yards and 10 touchdowns. A move away from Miami probably wouldn't hurt his fantasy value. Stay tuned.

|Dolphins | Still comfortable with Ryan Tannehill|
Thu, 19 Feb 2015 23:11:51 -0800
Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill still has a backer in general manager Dennis Hickey, who admitted average salaries for starting quarterbacks are going up but the team is still high on Tannehill as a starter.
Fantasy Tip: Tannehill should be a safe bet for starting in 2015 fantasy leagues. Rumors are the team is working on a long-term agreement with Tannehill that could pay him between $15 million and $18 million a season, which would place him among the top earners. The team could sour on Tannehill just like the Chicago Bears did on Jay Cutler, but for now Tannehill appears to be a strong bet.
