Colorado Rockies OF Russell Wilson has informed the team that he has decided to pursue an NFL career. The 23-year-old was a quarterback at Wisconsin and took the team to the Rose Bowl.

Colorado Rockies OF Russell Wilson, who played 61 games with Class A Asheville in the South Atlantic League, has notified the team he does not plan to report to spring training, and has decided to pursue a professional career in football instead.
