Bengals | Tyler Eifert says he is healthy

Thu, 30 Jul 2015 12:14:19 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert said he is 100% healthy for the first time since the beginning of last offseason.

Fantasy Tip: Eifert has been limited to only 16 games over his first two season and missed all but one game in 2014 because of various injuries. He should have a solid role in the passing game this season and probably should be considered as a No. 2 tight end on most fantasy teams.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert ready for breakout?

Wed, 22 Jul 2015 12:18:31 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert could be primed for a breakout season, in the opinion of Paul Dehner Jr. of The Cincinnati Enquirer.

Fantasy Tip: As Dehner also said, health is really the only concern for Eifert, who suffered a serious shoulder injury and a dislocated elbow last year. It might be risky to draft him as your starting fantasy tight end, but he's definitely worth a look as a TE2.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert back in business

Wed, 24 Jun 2015 18:01:06 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (elbow, shoulder) had his 2014 season cut short by a dislocated elbow and shoulder injury, but he is back to 100 percent and was impressive during organized team activities (OTAs) and minicamp.

Fantasy Tip: Eifert will be atop the depth chart if he can stay healthy, and he could re-emerge as a useful fantasy option in leagues of 12 or more teams. Rookies Tyler Kroft and C.J. Uzomah could eventually overtake him down the road, but for now Eifert is the top dog in Cincinnati with Jermaine Gresham having moved on.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert impressing

Mon, 22 Jun 2015 08:27:43 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (elbow, shoulder) was brought along slowly this spring, but he caught virtually everything thrown his way in open practices. Eifert looked sharp running routes.

Fantasy Tip: Eifert might slip into the end of the TE1 discussion, but he'd make an awesome TE2 with some upside. There's a logjam after the first few TEs in the top tiers, and Eifert could be a great value in drafts.

Bengals | More on Tyler Eifert

Tue, 05 May 2015 10:35:08 -0700

Updating previous reports, Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (shoulder, elbow) has been cleared from his dislocated elbow but is awaiting clearance on his shoulder. He said he lost 15 pounds but has packed on some of that back to 250 and is working on bulking up. He's expected to be ready for training camp.

Fantasy Tip: Eifert is a good TE2 target late in drafts if he makes it through training camp in the clear.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert will be ready for camp

Mon, 04 May 2015 16:10:49 -0700

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (elbow, shoulder) said he will be able to fully participate once training camp begins. Eifert has been running routes and catching passes as part of his rehab.

Fantasy Tip: Eifert was limited to only one game this past season because of his injuries. He is expected to be the starting tight end for the Bengals in 2015. Eifert could be a late-round option in fantasy draft next season and be a No. 2 tight end for owners.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert progressing from injury

Thu, 29 Jan 2015 16:37:40 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (elbow, shoulder) is progressing, according to head coach Marvin Lewis. Eifert recently said he didn't think he'd be 100% by the time minicamp starts.

Fantasy Tip: When healthy, Eifert has potential to be a No. 2 fantasy tight end. Jermaine Gresham hinders his value as long as he's in Cincinnati. Keep an eye on his status as the offseason continues.

Mon, 05 Jan 2015 11:47:37 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (elbow, shoulder) said he expects to be ready for the start of training camp.

Fantasy Tip: Eifert was expected to have a solid role in the passing offense this season, but injuries derailed his season. Owners should consider Eifert as a weak No. 2 tight end in their drafts next season.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert undergoes surgery

Fri, 26 Dec 2014 11:19:39 -0800

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (shoulder, elbow) underwent surgery two weeks ago to repair a shoulder injury he suffered during training camp, according to head coach Marvin Lewis.

Fantasy Tip: Eifert likely is done for the 2014 season and could be limited during offseason workouts but should be ready for training camp. Eifert likely will be selected in the later rounds of 2015 drafts as a low-end No. 1 tight end or a backup.
