Thu, 06 Jun 2013 10:13:49 -0700 Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden thinks the offense is due to make big improvements in the right direction this year after the team drafted TE Tyler Eifert and RB Giovani Bernard. Gruden has been pleased with the way the players have adjusted and adapted to his installation of a new offense during organized team activities. He's also happy with increased repetitions for QB Andy Dalton and the improvements of the skill players. "The thing about our offense is they came back and are willing to work hard, they are all unselfish and have a great understanding of what it is going to take for us to get to the next level," Gruden said. The offense has run some no-huddle plays this week and Dalton likes the look it gives the team. Fantasy Tip: We have high hopes, as do most people, for the Bengals offense this season in Dalton's third year. A.J. Green has plenty of help in the receiving game, and the running game has some nice depth. Dalton could be a very capable fantasy backup QB with the potential to perform as a No. 1 many weeks.
Fri, 31 May 2013 09:13:07 -0700 Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert said TE Jermaine Gresham has helped him out a lot during organized team activities especially with some of the blocking assignments in short-yardage situations.
Fri, 31 May 2013 09:02:47 -0700 Cincinnati Bengals tight ends coach Jonathan Hayes said he is been happy with what he has seen from TE Tyler Eifert during organized team activities. "After working him out and spending time with him before the draft, he is on target and about where I thought he would be," Hayes said. "He has been great mentally and keeps an even keel. It is hard to tell from him whether things are going good or bad. He would be a great poker player that way."
Fri, 24 May 2013 14:06:03 -0700 The Cincinnati Bengals could reach a contract agreement with first-round draft choice TE Tyler Eifert by the time their June minicamp is over.
Wed, 22 May 2013 09:47:06 -0700 Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton has, during organized team activities, been focusing on improving the trajectory and accuracy of his throws while working with quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese. Dalton also is practicing a quicker dropback in the pocket. The club is hoping first-round TE Tyler Eifert will help stretch the offense so defensive attention doesn't squarely target WR A.J. Green. Fantasy Tip: Along with rookie RB Giovani Bernard, Dalton has been awarded some underrated offensive depth that could raise his already solid ceiling as a high-end fantasy QB2. Getting more yardage out of his attempts would produce a breakthrough campaign, and your competitors may not notice or care leading up to draft day.
Mon, 13 May 2013 15:04:22 -0700 Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert lined up at tight end on both ends of the offensive line as well as a slot receiver during the team's rookie minicamp. Eifert said he believes he is picking up the offense relatively quick. Fantasy Tip: Eifert is expected to see playing time when the team uses two-tight end sets this season but should not be seen as more than a No. 2 tight end at this point.
Wed, 08 May 2013 17:59:41 -0700 Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden said he believes TE Tyler Eifert can be a difference-maker for the team if he becomes more of a blocker. Gruden said the team will see what kind of blocker Eifert is during their rookie minicamp and work with him from there.
Wed, 08 May 2013 17:53:04 -0700 Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden indicated the team could use two-tight end sets more often this season with TEs Jermaine Gresham and Tyler Eifert. Gruden said the team will still be using three-receiver sets like they did last season.
Wed, 01 May 2013 14:17:51 -0700 Carolina Panthers general manager David Gettleman said the team considered taking Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft before deciding to select DT Star Lotulelei.
