Eagles | Alshon Jeffery leads team in receiving

Thu, 12 Oct 2017 22:32:06 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery led the team in targets (10) and receiving yards (71) while tying for the team lead in catches (four) during Philly's Week 6 win over the Carolina Panthers.

Fantasy Tip: After gaining 56, 29 and 31 yards, respectively, over the last three weeks, Jeffery's 71-yard showing on TNF was a step in the right direction. Despite not delivering big-time production, Jeffery holds enough upside to be a weekly WR3 for the time being.

Eagles | Alshon Jeffery held in check

Sun, 08 Oct 2017 14:58:15 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery caught three passes for 31 yards against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery has been held to under 32 yards in each of the last two games but does have two touchdowns on the season. He will continue to be one of the starting receivers for the Eagles and can be at least a No. 3 receiver most weeks.

Eagles | Alshon Jeffery finds the end zone

Sun, 01 Oct 2017 19:55:27 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery caught three passes on six targets for 29 yards and a touchdown in a 26-24 win over the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday, Oct. 1.

Fantasy Tip: The targets have been there for Jeffery, but the production has not. Tough matchups haven't helped the cause, and it's easy to forget this is his first season playing with Carson Wentz. Better days could be ahead for Jeffery, and in the meantime, he should be viewed as a high-upside WR3.

Eagles | Alshon Jeffery posts four receptions

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 16:27:45 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery posted four catches for 56 yards on eight targets in Week 3 against the New York Giants.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery has racked up 28 total targets through three games, although he has just 14 catches for 186 yards and one visit to the end zone. He is producing like a WR3 or flex fantasy option right now heading into Week 4 against the Chargers.

Eagles | Alshon Jeffery posts good outing

Sun, 17 Sep 2017 14:16:10 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery caught seven passes for 92 yards and scored a touchdown in a 27-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Sept. 17.

Fantasy Tip: This is a big step forward for Jeffery, especially against a solid Chiefs defense. Still, one good outing does not make a season. Jeffery has had issues staying healthy, and he truly needs to post back-to-back good games to impress fantasy owners. Next week's home game against the New York Giants, an easier opponent, should go a ways toward determining Jeffery's status.

Eagles | Alshon Jeffery likely to draw Josh Norman

Wed, 06 Sep 2017 09:05:31 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery is expected to be shadowed by Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman in Week 1, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

Fantasy Tip: It's the first of many brutal pre-bye matchups for Jeffery, who is likely to face primary coverage in the coming weeks from the likes of Jamoris Jenkins, Casey Heyward and Patrick Peterson, to name a few. Jeffrey has the talent to win this battles on occasion, but his injury history and potential matchups make him a prime bust candidate as his current ADP.

Eagles | Alshon Jeffery catches TD

Thu, 24 Aug 2017 20:00:24 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery caught two passes for 35 yards and one touchdown against the Miami Dolphins Thursday, Aug. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery will be at least a starter for the Eagles this season and could be the leading receiver as the season goes on. He should be able to improve on his 2016 stats and can be considered a No. 2 fantasy receiver.

Eagles | Alshon Jeffery playing catch-up

Sun, 20 Aug 2017 08:23:28 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery did not practice for about a week and a half during training camp in the preseason or participate in team drills, leading wide receivers coach Mike Groh to conclude Jeffery was "behind" his teammates when it comes to his knowledge of the playbook.

Fantasy Tip: The subject comes up because Jeffrey ran a wrong route on the third-and-12 play in the Eagles' last preseason game against the Buffalo Bills. Philadelphia's priced free-agent acquisition is no stranger to the training room and owners need to keep that in mind when deciding whether or not they should draft him this summer. He's a dicey WR2 with WR1 upside and a brutal schedule to begin the season.

Dolphins | DeVante Parker compared to Alshon Jeffery

Fri, 18 Aug 2017 13:45:32 -0700

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker is comparable to Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery but with more speed, according to QB Jay Cutler.

Fantasy Tip: Parker improved his stats from 2015 to 2016 and finished with 744 yards and four touchdowns. He will be a top-three receiver for the Dolphins this season and should receive a solid amount of targets. He can be considered a No. 3 fantasy receiver in most leagues.

Eagles | Alshon Jeffery still limited

Sat, 12 Aug 2017 13:29:46 -0700

Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) was limited to individual drills during practice Saturday, Aug. 12. The Eagles may consider not playing Jeffery in the second preseason game.

Fantasy Tip: Jeffery recently returned to practice but is still not ready to participate in all drills. He should be ready for the start of the start of the season, but owners will need to monitor the situation. Jeffery is expected to be the main target in the passing game for the Eagles and should be seen as a No. 2 fantasy receiver.
