Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery hit the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career after posting 12 receptions for 249 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 13 game against the Minnesota Vikings. It was Jeffery's second 200-yard game of the season.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery broke his own franchise record with 249 receiving yards in Week 13. He had 12 catches on the day, two for scores.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery is tied with Denver Broncos WR Eric Decker for the most receiving yards in the league in the last five weeks, with 561. Jeffery leads his team in yards over WR Brandon Marshall (540).
Fantasy Tip: Jeffery has been one of the nice suprises for fantasy owners this year, but his value may have already reached its peak now that Jay Cutler (groin) is out. Jeffery is unlikely to be as productive with Josh McCown running the offense.

The Chicago Bears are awaiting the MRI results on Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler (groin) Monday, Oct. 21, and they are bracing themselves for bad news. Cutler could be out for most of the remaining 10 weeks of the season if it's a serious groin injury. QB Josh McCown would take over for Cutler if he has to miss any time. The Bears would likely re-sign QB Jordan Palmer to back up McCown.
Fantasy Tip: If you own Cutler, starting making plans to add another quarterback. Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery, as well as Martellus Bennett, will likely suffer if Cutler misses most of the rest of the year.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (ankle) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 9, and is listed as probable for Week 6.
Fantasy Tip: Jeffery is coming off an outstanding performance Week 5 and appears ready to play Week 6. He should be considered a starter in all fantasy leagues as long as he plays.

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (ankle) would have been limited in practice Tuesday, Oct. 8. The team took part in a walk through.
Mon, 07 Oct 2013 15:43:15 -0700
Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (ankle) was limited in practice Monday, Oct. 7.
Fantasy Tip: Jeffery's injury probably isn't very serious, but keep tabs on his practice status during the short week. By now you know that he's a must-start in the Bears' offense.

Updating a previous report, Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall caught just four passes for 30 yards in the team's Week 5 loss to the New Orleans Saints, and QB Jay Cutler targeted him only five times. The Saints double covered Marshall for the majority of the game. "They weren't going to let him have a good day," Cutler said of New Orleans' defense. "They decided, 'Hey, it's not going to happen.' They were going to take him out of the ball game. He still made some plays for us. He might be frustrated, but we just have to keep getting better and better, and he understands that."
Marshall voiced some frustration over his role as a decoy, but head coach Marc Trestman said: "I want to get Brandon the ball. We want to get Brandon the ball. There were a couple of shots early. Jay looked back and he was open a couple of times, then protection got in his face and he was forced to move, which was disappointing. That starts with me. I've got to do a better job of getting him involved."
Fantasy Tip: Opposing defenses are starting to take Marshall out of the game with double teams, freeing up more looks for Alshon Jeffery and Matt Forte. Marshall won't be held down forever, but there will be more frustrating games like this in the future.
Sun, 06 Oct 2013 15:23:50 -0700
Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery had 10 receptions for 218 yards and a touchdown in the Week 5 game against the New Orleans Saints. He set the franchise record with the yardage mark. The previous mark was 214 yards set by WR Harlong Hill in 1954.
Fantasy Tip: No one saw this giant performance coming. Despite the huge stat line, Jeffery remains more of a WR3/4 or flex play in most fantasy formats going forward.
Mon, 05 Aug 2013 10:08:08 -0700
Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring), OT Jermon Bushrod (calf), OT Jonathan Scott (knee) and DE Cornelius Washington (elbow) are participating in practice Monday, Aug. 5.
