According to sources, owner Mark Davis thinks highly of Ray Anderson, the NFL's vice president of football operations, and some believe he could join that organization if the right opportunity arose.

The Oakland Raiders issued a statement Wednesday, Dec. 5, denying any interest in bringing back former NFL head coach Jon Gruden. "Members of the media: There are two people on this planet that have the ability to make talks happen between Jon Gruden and the Raiders, with regard to him allegedly taking over the football operations, and/or the position of head coach. Each of those individuals, owner Mark Davis and general manager Reggie McKenzie, wanted me to communicate that this rumor has no validity whatsoever," the statement said.

Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie said Friday, Nov. 30, part of changing the team's culture was getting players to be leaders and hold others accountable; however, he inherited a roster with few leaders. "Can't say I had that coming in," McKenzie said. The general manager has seen some players with leadership qualities start to emerge but there are no dynamic presences on the roster.
