Miami Dolphins C Mike Pouncey said OT Jonathan Martin has been looking very comfortable at left tackle during organized team activities. "He's more fluid over there," Pouncey said. "You can tell when he's kick sliding that way he's more comfortable being in a left-handed stance. Obviously, he wanted to play over there last year but he was forced to play the right side and I think he's going to do a great job."

Miami Dolphins OT Jonathan Martin is relieved to know he is set to play left tackle this season, replacing the departed OT Jake Long (Rams). The team is privately optimistic Martin can do the job, and become a good left tackle. Martin is working to add 20 pounds this offseason, going up to 318. He said he not only wants to get bigger, but also "stronger and tougher."

Miami Dolphins OT Jonathan Martin has added weight to play right tackle, if needed. He claims he has added 15 pounds over the past three months, saying he is up to 320 pounds. As of Tuesday, April 23, he had not been told by the team's coaching staff which side to focus on. "I played left for so long, so I'm still a little more comfortable there, but I think I can play both positions comfortably," Martin said.

Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland said he believes OT Jonathan Martin can play either left tackle or right tackle next season. Ireland said the coaches will determine where Martin plays.

Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland said the team has not decided if OT Jonathan Martin will start at left tackle and are looking at other options for the position. "We're still visiting with a couple of tackles out there," Ireland said. "To say Jonathan is going to definitely play left tackle or right tackle, that's still yet to be determined. I'm comfortable with him playing either position."

Miami Dolphins OT Jake Long's (knee) MRI results didn't show that his knee injury was serious, but the team has yet to comment on the extent of his injury. He was wearing a knee brace Monday, Aug. 27. OT Jonathan Martin moved from right tackle to fill in for Long Monday. OT Artis Hicks joined the line on the right side.
