The Cincinnati Bengals selected Rutgers WR Mohamed Sanu in the third round of the NFL Draft Friday, April 27, with the No. 83 overall selection. Sanu actually thought he was picked by the Bengals in the first round, and his agent posted that information to Twitter Thursday, April 26. However, it turns out it was a prank by a Rutgers student who found Sanu's telephone number.

Rutgers WR Mohamed Sanu posted 40-yard dash times of 4.55 seconds, and 4.54 seconds, at his school's Pro Day March 21. He was projected as a first-round draft pick by some, but he hurt his stock at the NFL Scouting Combine with a 4.67-second 40-yard dash. Scouts said he had a very good workout at his Pro Day, and he caught the ball well.
