Following the season-ending injury to Cleveland Browns LB Chris Gocong (Achilles'), several others will have a chance to step up and grab more playing time. LBs Emmanuel Acho, James-Michael Johnson and Kaluka Maiava might get chances to fill in for Gocong. Head coach Pat Shurmur said Saturday, Aug. 4, that LBs L.J. Fort and Craig Robertson have also caught the eye of the coaching staff.

The Cleveland Browns signed free-agents OT Dominic Alford (Browns), OL Stanley Daniels (Broncos), LB Craig Robertson (Browns), OG Jarrod Shaw (Browns), SS David Sims (Browns), RB Armond Smith (Browns) and WR Owen Spencer (Vikings) to reserve/futures contracts Tuesday, Jan. 3.

The Cleveland Browns signed free-agents WR Torrey Grissett (Arena League) and LB Craig Robertson (NCAA) to the practice squad Tuesday, Dec. 20. Grissett most recently played in the Arena Football League and Indoor Football League, while Robertson hasn't been with an NFL team since playing college ball at North Texas.
