Thu, 22 Sep 2016 20:00:22 -0700

Houston Texans RB Lamar Miller (knee) was having his knee looked at by trainers against the New England Patriots Thursday, Sept. 22, but he was able to return to the game.

Fantasy Tip: Whatever Miller did to his knee, it doesn't look like it was serious. His status as Houston's every-down back should have him starting every week.

Texans | Lamar Miller tops century mark

Sun, 11 Sep 2016 21:56:08 -0700

Houston Texans RB Lamar Miller rushed 28 times for 106 yards in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears, and he added four receptions for 11 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Miller did what an RB1 is expected to do in fantasy leagues short of finding the end zone. He faces a San Diego rush defense in Week 2 that allowed two scores on the ground to Melvin Gordon, so expect Miller to make his first foray into the end zone for Houston.

Texans | High expectations for Lamar Miller

Fri, 09 Sep 2016 21:01:12 -0700

Houston Texans RB Lamar Miller has picked up the offense quickly, according to head coach Bill O'Brien, and O'Brien said he is looking forward to seeing what Miller does this season.

Fantasy Tip: Miller is primed for a big role in Houston's offense, and his all-around ability makes him a RB1 and a must-start player in any format.

Texans | Lamar Miller steady in Houston debut

Sun, 14 Aug 2016 17:32:48 -0700

Houston Texans RB Lamar Miller rushed four times for 30 yards against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Aug. 14, including a 14-yard run on his first carry of the game.

Fantasy Tip: Miller did not see a target in the passing game. The fifth-year back did nothing in his first game as a Texan to help or hinder his fantasy stock, but his performance was a relative bright spot during a first half in which Houston struggled to sustain drives. Miller may fall short of matching Arian Foster's best years as a Texan, but his all-purpose game makes him a fine selection for owners at the end of the first or beginning of the second round in most drafts.

Texans | Lamar Miller receives day off

Sun, 07 Aug 2016 09:45:27 -0700

Updating a previous report, Houston Texans RB Lamar Miller (ankle) did not participate in practice Sunday, Aug. 7, because he received a day off, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

Fantasy Tip: Miller should be fine after dealing with a minor ankle injury earlier in the week. Miller will have a big role in the Texans' offense this season and should be a No. 2 running back in all fantasy leagues.

Sun, 07 Aug 2016 08:14:46 -0700

Houston Texans RB Lamar Miller (ankle) is not participating in practice Sunday, Aug. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Miller may be receiving a day off because of his ankle injury but should be back on the field soon. He will be the focal point in the running game for the Texans in 2016 and should be a No. 2 running back in most fantasy leagues.

Texans | Lamar Miller OK after injury scare

Sun, 07 Aug 2016 07:11:51 -0700

Houston Texans RB Lamar Miller (ankle) appeared to tweak his ankle during practice Saturday, Aug. 6, but continued to participate after being examined by trainers and having the ankle taped up. Both Miller and head coach Bill O'Brien claimed he was fine.

Fantasy Tip: The 26-year-old Miller will serve as Houston's No. 1 running back and has improved as a receiver with each passing year, so he should be viewed as a solid RB2 in all fantasy formats.

Texans | Lamar Miller to be dual threat

Mon, 06 Jun 2016 05:16:55 -0700

Houston Texans RB Lamar Miller is slated for a versatile role as an inside and outside runner, and he figures to be a healthy part of the passing game.

Fantasy Tip: Miller developed as a receiver each of his four years and had 47 catches for 397 yards and two scores last season. He was never really used as much as most lead backs, though, and the Texans are expected to break that mold. He's a solid RB2 in fantasy.

Texans | Lamar Miller comfortable with offense

Sat, 21 May 2016 21:34:26 -0700

Houston Texans RB Lamar Miller said the offensive concepts are similar to those he used as a member of the Miami Dolphins, with some differences in terminology, and he said finding his way around Houston has been tougher than learning the playbook.

Fantasy Tip: Miller is being paid to lead Houston's rushing attack, and he should be a strong, safe RB2.

Dolphins | New HC liked Lamar Miller

Mon, 28 Mar 2016 20:23:27 -0700

Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase liked RB Lamar Miller (Texans) based on tape study, but not to the extend the Houston Texans did, signing him to a $6.5 million per year average. The Dolphins management feel they can find a running back as good, or better, than Miller in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Fantasy Tip: Miller feels very wanted in Houston, and they feel he can challenge for an NFL rushing title if he can stay healthy. It sounds like the brain trust in Miami didn't have nearly the same kind of faith in him, so for his fantasy appeal it's best that he moved on.

Updating previous reports, Houston Texans RB Lamar Miller's four-year, $26 million deal includes a $4 million signing bonus and $14 million guaranteed. He is due a $3.5 million roster bonus Wednesday, March 16. Miller has fully guaranteed base salaries of $1 million and $5.5 million for skill, injury and salary cap in 2016 and 2017. Miller has $5 million and $5.5 million non-guaranteed base salaries in 2018 and 2019.

Fantasy Tip: Miller has a lot of security, and the Texans are banking on him to be their lead back. He'll be a solid RB2 consideration in fantasy.

Texans | Lamar Miller expecting more carries

Thu, 10 Mar 2016 18:59:22 -0800

Houston Texans RB Lamar Miller said he chose to sign with the Texans in part because he knows how much running backs are involved in the offense.

Fantasy Tip: Miller has a chance to shine as the lead back in Houston's offense, and he could creep into RB1 territory if he can stay healthy.

Texans | Lamar Miller heading to Houston

Wed, 09 Mar 2016 12:22:49 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Lamar Miller is agreeing on a four-year, $26 million deal with the Houston Texans Wednesday, March 9. The deal includes $14 million fully guaranteed, according to a source. Miller turned down more elsewhere.

Fantasy Tip: Miller wasn't utilized properly with the Miami Dolphins despite eclipsing 1,000 yards in 2014. A move to Houston will allow him to have a bigger workload most likely, which could catapult him to low-end RB1 status, depending on how Houston addresses their quarterback situation.

Cowboys | Dallas in play for Lamar Miller

Wed, 09 Mar 2016 11:15:46 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Lamar Miller's suitors now include the Dallas Cowboys, although the Cowboys aren't expected to outbid him from the Houston Texans.

Fantasy Tip: The Texans remain the favorite to land Miller, but he is one of the two top remaining free-agent running backs, so another team could become desperate as the opening of free agency looms. He should start wherever he lands and should still be in the RB2 conversation.

Texans | Houston interested in Lamar Miller

Tue, 08 Mar 2016 21:36:13 -0800

Free-agent RB Lamar Miller (Dolphins) is a player the Houston Texans have a strong interest in as a potential replacement for RB Arian Foster, who was cut last week, according to a league source. He might cost roughly $6.5 million per year as an unrestricted free agent.

Fantasy Tip: The intensity could be turned up in the pursuit for Miller, as another target, Chris Ivory, has agreed to terms with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The team was also interested in Doug Martin, but appears he is close to returning to Tampa Bay.

Jaguars | Jacksonville looking for running back

Tue, 08 Mar 2016 12:10:41 -0800

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be a wild card in free agency when going after running backs, and they've been linked to Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Lamar Miller, New York Jets impending free-agent RB Chris Ivory and Tampa Bay Buccaneers impending free-agent RB Doug Martin. The Jaguars have a ton of money available this year.

Fantasy Tip: The Jags have confidence in second-year player T.J. Yeldon as a three-down back, but they wouldn't mind pairing another runner with him in the backfield. If Jacksonville brings someone else in, that'll obviously hurt Yeldon's fantasy value and make him more of an RB3 or 4.

Texans | Houston making push for Lamar Miller

Tue, 08 Mar 2016 10:57:54 -0800

The Houston Texans are making a strong push to sign Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Lamar Miller before the league year starts Wednesday, March 9, according to a source. The two sides are working toward a deal.

Fantasy Tip: Miller showed flashes with the Dolphins but never carried the kind of consistency for fantasy owners that they had hoped for. He had 194 attempts for 872 yards and eight touchdowns last year after eclipsing 1,000 yards in 2014. A move to Houston would likely give him even more repetitions and put him in line to produce low-end RB1 numbers. Stay tuned.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller bolting

Tue, 08 Mar 2016 06:45:24 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Lamar Miller will not re-sign with the Miami Dolphins, according to multiple sources. He's slated to receive a more lucrative offer, and the Houston Texans and Dallas Cowboys appear to be front runners for Miller.

Fantasy Tip: Miller will likely be an RB2 option in fantasy.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller to hit the market

Mon, 07 Mar 2016 08:49:26 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Lamar Miller will hit the open free-agent market Wednesday, March 9, according to a source close to the player. Talks with Miami haven't progressed enough.

Fantasy Tip: Miller, who ran for 872 yards and eight touchdowns on 194 carries in 2015, will be the top free-agent running back on the market this year. With a significant workload, Miller has RB1 potential, but his fantasy value will depend on where he ends up in free agency.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller negotiating to stay

Fri, 04 Mar 2016 07:46:58 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Lamar Miller continues to negotiate with the Dolphins on a contract around $5 million per season.

Fantasy Tip: Miller will be a low-end RB2 consideration in fantasy drafts.

Dolphins | Miami to meet with Lamar Miller's agent

Wed, 24 Feb 2016 14:16:21 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Lamar Miller's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, will meet with the Dolphins at the NFL Scouting Combine, according to general manager Chris Grier.

Fantasy Tip: The Dolphins have already said they won't use their franchise tag on Miller, but they do want him to return. He's arguably the best running back on the free-agent market his year, though, so bringing him back is easier said than done. If he stays in Miami he should still be in RB2 territory going into next season's fantasy drafts.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller wants to be featured

Sat, 20 Feb 2016 15:02:16 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Lamar Miller said he wants to be a featured back. When he was told he averaged 15 touches per game last season, Miller responded he wanted to average 20.

Fantasy Tip: Miller will likely be a midrange RB2 candidate wherever he goes.

Dolphins | Miami won't use franchise tag

Tue, 16 Feb 2016 09:03:28 -0800

The Miami Dolphins will not use the franchise tag this year because they are tight on the projected salary cap and will have to make significant cuts before free agency starts. Impending free-agent DE Olivier Vernon and RB Lamar Miller are their biggest free agents, but neither player is expected to be tagged.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller wanted back in Miami

Mon, 15 Feb 2016 08:22:32 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Lamar Miller is definitely wanted by the Dolphins' brass, according to a source. It's unknown how much the team is willing to spend, though, as Miller could command roughly $5 million per year.

Fantasy Tip: Miller was solid with a 194-872-8 rushing line and 47 catches for 397 yards and two more scores. He'll be in the upper-RB2 mix in fantasy.

Dolphins | Jay Ajayi could start

Sun, 07 Feb 2016 10:55:19 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Jay Ajayi is seen as a starting-caliber running back capable of taking over for impending free-agent RB Lamar Miller.

Fantasy Tip: Miller is not the Dolphins' top priority this offseason, but that doesn't mean he won't return. He's one of the top running backs on the free-agent market, so he could leave if another team's offer is attractive enough.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller not top priority for Miami

Wed, 03 Feb 2016 16:29:46 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Lamar Miller is not at the top of the Dolphins' priority list this offseason. Re-signing DE Olivier Vernon will be at the forefront of the Miami organization.

Fantasy Tip: The Dolphins may be fine with letting Miller test the free-agent waters, especially with a talented running back in Jay Ajayi ready to take over. If Miller doesn't receive a deal he likes from another team, he could return to Miami, but he has been embarrassingly underutilized there so far in his career. Of course, that could change under new head coach Adam Gase. We'll see.

Mon, 01 Feb 2016 06:56:38 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending free-agent RB Lamar Miller has about a 40% chance to re-sign with the Dolphins, according to ESPN.com's James Walker.

Fantasy Tip: Miller will likely be in the RB2 mix in fantasy regardless of where he signs in the offseason.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller will enter free agency

Fri, 22 Jan 2016 14:28:13 -0800

Miami Dolphins impending unrestricted free-agent RB Lamar Miller will enter free agency this offseason, and he believes the fit with any team is the most important when considering his options. He wants to choose a team that is a good fit in scheme and opportunity. Miller finished 2015 with 872 rushing yards and 4.5 yards per carry.

Fantasy Tip: Head coaching and offensive coordinator changes negatively affected Miller's output this year. In the right fit, he could easily return as a 1,000-yard rusher like in 2014 and be worthy of late first-round consideration. Stay tuned.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller probable

Fri, 25 Dec 2015 11:30:30 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (quadriceps, ankle) was limited Friday, Dec. 25, and is probable for Week 16.

Fantasy Tip: Miller ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) is a midrange flex option against the Indianapolis Colts on FantasyScore.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller, DeVante Parker limited

Thu, 24 Dec 2015 15:25:38 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (quadriceps) and WR DeVante Parker (ankle) were limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Miller ($5,200, 10.4% of cap) should still be able to take the field this week against the Indianapolis Colts unless he suffers a setback this weekend. Parker ($2,800, 5.6%) should also be able to play despite being added to the injury report today. He's not a bad choice as a cheap flex. Even if Miller hasn't been receiving the amount of touches he deserves, he's still a good FantasyScore play as a RB2.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry, Lamar Miller limited

Wed, 23 Dec 2015 12:21:38 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) and RB Lamar Miller (quadriceps) were limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 23.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) and Miller ($5,200, 10.4%) should still be able to take the field this weekend despite their limited statuses. Landry is a much more reliable choice than Miller, but Miller is still pretty solid when he does touch the ball. They both have a great matchup against the Colts and should be considered a WR1 and RB2 on FantasyScore, respectively.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller out in pass mode

Mon, 21 Dec 2015 17:49:26 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller saw his touches reduced in the fourth quarter of the Week 15 game against the San Diego Chargers since the team was in pass mode. Interim head coach Dan Campbell said Monday, Dec. 21, that he trusts his running backs coach.

Fantasy Tip: Miller disappointed his fantasy owners, but it wasn't entirely his fault and was more the fact the team was down 23-0 early and the club got away from the rush attack. And, more importantly, he wasn't dealing with an injury.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller can't explain benching

Mon, 21 Dec 2015 10:59:25 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller said he does not know why he received only two carries in the second half of the team's Week 15 game against the San Diego Chargers. Miller said he is frustrated with his role because he believes he can help the team win. Interim head coach Dan Campbell said the team believed they would receive more mileage from RBs Jay Ajayi and Damien Williams in the second half.

Fantasy Tip: Miller should still receive a majority of the work in the final two games of the season since he leads the team's running backs in running and receiving yards. Owners will need to monitor the situation since Miller's value will drop if he loses touches to the other running backs. Owners could consider using Miller in their lineups but may want to look for more productive options.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller bottled up

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 19:18:35 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller ran nine times for just 12 yards in the Week 15 game against the San Diego Chargers and he caught just two balls for 12 yards.

Fantasy Tip: Miller had been on fire lately for fantasy owners, but he certainly laid a huge egg in this one when it mattered most. He'll look to bounce back in Week 16 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Dolphins | Jarvis Landry, Lamar Miller probable

Fri, 18 Dec 2015 13:44:12 -0800

Miami Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry (knee) and RB Lamar Miller (ankle) are both listed as probable for Week 15 against the San Diego Chargers. Landry was limited in practice Friday, Dec. 18, while Miller was a full participant.

Fantasy Tip: Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) could find it tough to return value in daily formats while facing a respectable San Diego secondary on the road. Miller ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) has an excellent matchup and should be utilized often after fading with few touches in the second half in Week 14.

Dolphins | Miami interested in re-signing Lamar Miller

Fri, 18 Dec 2015 10:20:40 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller's contract is set to expire in March of 2016. According to a source, there is mutual interest in an extension, but Miller said Wednesday, Dec. 16, the Dolphins have yet to approach him about a new deal.

Fantasy Tip: Miller ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) has proven to be one of the league’s more productive backs when he gets the ball (5.1 yards per carry in 2015), but his opportunities have often been lacking (151 rushing attempts ranks 22nd). The 24-year-old is battling through an ankle injury ahead of the Dolphins’ Week 15 meeting with the San Diego Chargers but is a high-end RB1 if healthy in a plus-matchup.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller listed as limited

Thu, 17 Dec 2015 15:55:45 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 17.

Fantasy Tip: Miller ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) probably will see his normal workload this week even though he has been limited during practice. He broke his touchdown drought last week by scoring two in Week 14 and has played well in each of the last two weeks. Miller will have a favorable matchup against the San Diego Chargers this week and should be a solid starting option.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller wants ball more

Wed, 16 Dec 2015 19:29:05 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller is in a contract season, and he needs to average 77 yards in each of the final three games to reach 1,000 yards. While he has 769 rushing yards, tied for 13th in the NFL, he has just 151 carries, tied for 22nd. He is sixth-best in the league with 5.1 yards per carry, and he wants the ball more. "When I'm feeling it, I feel I should get more opportunities," he said Wednesday, Dec. 16. "But it just depends on the situation if we're losing or if we're up. I was feeling it pretty good Monday night." Miller is happy playing in his hometown, and he wants to finish his career with the Dolphins.

Fantasy Tip: Miller ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) made his FantasyScore owners happy with two touchdowns in the first half last week against the New York Giants, and he should have another big performance in Week 15 against a San Diego Chargers rush defense which ranks 27th in the league, allowing 126.5 yards per game with 12 rushing touchdowns.

Dolphins | Three Dolphins limited Wednesday

Wed, 16 Dec 2015 14:16:45 -0800

Miami Dolphins WRs Jarvis Landry (knee) and Rishard Matthews (ribs) and RB Lamar Miller (ankle) were all limited in practice Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Miller ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) and Landry ($6,800, 13.6% of cap) should be fine for the game against the San Diego Chargers. The Bolts are one of the worst rush defenses in the NFL, so Miller is a must-start. Landry and Matthews ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) face a tougher matchup with the SD secondary. Matthews is still fighting his way back, so he's a very shakey daily option.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller not injured

Tue, 15 Dec 2015 09:48:33 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller said he didn't know why he only received five carries in the second half Monday, Dec. 14, but said he wasn't injured. He was seen having his ankles looked at, but he said he was merely getting taped up. Miller had seven carries for 69 yards (9.9 yards per rush) and two touchdowns in the first half.

Fantasy Tip: Miller ($6,300, 12.6% of cap) has a decent draw against the San Diego Chargers in Week 15, but it's hard to trust their offensive gameplan right now. He's still a solid midrange option on FantasyScore.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller has giant first half

Mon, 14 Dec 2015 22:27:17 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller carried 12 times for 89 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 14 game against the New York Giants. He was not involved in the passing game.

Fantasy Tip: Most of Miller's production came in the first half, and then the Dolphins inexplicably got away from what was working much to the dismay of Miami fans and fantasy players. Still, Miller helped plenty to wins with his big primetime performance.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller rebounds nicely

Sun, 06 Dec 2015 22:54:18 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller rushed 20 times for 113 yards in the Week 13 game against the Baltimore Ravens, while rookie RB Jay Ajayi had just 12 yards on four totes.

Fantasy Tip: If you were worried about Miller's workload being cut into by Ajayi, that certainly wasn't the case Sunday. You can feel confident using Miller as an RB2 or flex fantasy option heading into Week 14 against the New York Giants and their shaky defense.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller shut down

Sun, 29 Nov 2015 16:59:28 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller finished with two yards on five carries and three catches for 11 yards in a 38-20 loss to the New York Jets in Week 12.

Fantasy Tip: After showing signs of life in the middle of the year, Miller has failed to reach 50 rushing yards in five straight in large part because the Dolphins keep falling behind early. With Miami struggling as a team, Miller is likely to remain a risky option at FantasyScore.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller on scoring streak

Tue, 17 Nov 2015 16:05:07 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller has scored a touchdown in his last five games, becoming the first Miami player with such a streak since Ricky Williams in 2003. Miller failed to score a touchdown under previous head coach Joe Philbin.

Fantasy Tip: Miller ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) is well positioned for another nice game against the Dallas Cowboys this weekend; Dallas allows the fourth-most PPR points (29.5) to running backs per game this year. Look out for Jay Ajayi ($2,400, 4.8% of cap) cutting into Miller's workload moving forward, though. Ajayi should be handcuffed for Miller owners.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller shows off versatility

Sun, 15 Nov 2015 16:53:58 -0800

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller had 16 carries for 43 yards and caught six passes for 50 yards and a touchdown in a 20-19 win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10.

Fantasy Tip: His rushing totals have been erratic, but Miller ($7,500, 15.0% of cap) has logged seven touchdowns over his last five games, and he has had at least 50 receiving yards in three of his last four. His versatility makes him a safe play at FantasyScore against most opponents.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller catches 7 balls

Sun, 08 Nov 2015 15:41:12 -0800

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller caught seven passes for 97 yards, in addition to his 44 rushing yards and two scores, in Week 9 at the Buffalo Bills.

Fantasy Tip: It is apparent Dolphins head coach Dan Campbell wants to do everything in his power to get the ball into Miller's hands to take advantage of his explosiveness. Miller is an inconsistent flex play in traditional setups and a matchup choice in DFS action on FantasyScore.

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller scored two touchdowns and finished with 44 yards rushing as the Dolphins lost 33-17 to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Nov. 8.

Fantasy Tip: Miller ($7,000, 14.0% of cap) had his touchdowns from 1 yard out. That's good in scoring leagues, but if you are in leagues where yardage counts as well then Miller hurts you. It's possible Buffalo's defense may have gotten to Miami on Sunday, but watch out for Miller's stats in future games.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller stifled by New England

Thu, 29 Oct 2015 20:58:15 -0700

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller finished with nine carries for 15 yards and a touchdown and five catches for 19 yards in a 36-7 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 8.

Fantasy Tip: Although Miller ($7,100, 14.2% of cap) salvaged an otherwise brutal night with a score, the performance was a reminder that he isn’t a matchup-proof option at FantasyScore despite a few big games recently.

Dolphins | Lamar Miller seeing more touches

Mon, 26 Oct 2015 09:16:57 -0700

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller had 236 yards from scrimmage in the Week 7 win over the Houston Texans, rushing 14 times for 175 yards and adding three catches for 61 yards. It was his first time rushing for more than 100 yards in back-to-back games, and he fell just three yards short of his career high on the ground. Miller said his resurgence since the firing of head coach Joe Philbin has mainly about getting the ball more. Miller hadn't seen more than 15 touches in the first four games with Philbin as coach, and he's has 21 and 17 touches in the first two games under Dan Campbell. "Earlier in the year, I was worried about how many opportunities I was going to get," said Miller, who has rushed for 288 yards in the past two games. "I wasn't getting the ball that much. So every time I got it I was trying to make a big play, and I wasn't reading my keys."

Fantasy Tip: Miller's fantasy value is quickly on the rise after two consecutive big games with a new head coach at the helm. He has an opportunity to keep the momentum headed in the right direction on a short week against the New England Patriots this Thursday night. However, it may be tough to keep it going; the Pats have allowed just two rushing scores all year, and Miami may have to pass plenty to keep up.

Dolphins | Huge half for Lamar Miller

Sun, 25 Oct 2015 17:34:43 -0700

Miami Dolphins RB Lamar Miller had 14 carries for 175 yards and a touchdown, all in the first half, and added three catches for 61 yards and a score in a 44-26 win over the Houston Texans in Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: Miller ($6,200, 12.4% of cap) has topped 100 yards and found the end zone in both games under interim head coach Dan Campbell. He should be a safe RB2 option at FantasyScore most weeks going forward.
