Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon was arrested on a DUI charge Saturday, Dec. 19, according to arrest logs from the Carter County (Oklahoma) Sheriff's Office. Blackmon is on indefinitely suspension and has been suspended three times by the NFL for violating the policy on substances of abuse.
Fantasy Tip: There's a really good chance that Blackmon will never play another down in the NFL because of his inability to stay out of trouble off the field. Plus, receivers Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns have stepped up in a big way for the Jags this year, so Blackmon is but a distant memory at this point.
Tue, 04 Aug 2015 10:30:16 -0700
Jacksonville Jaguars suspended WR Justin Blackmon hasn't had any contact with the team, and general manager David Caldwell said he thinks Blackmon's absence makes it unlikely he will ever play in the NFL again. Blackmon hasn't practiced or played since Week 8 of the 2013 season. He has to apply for reinstatement and go through almost a two-month long vetting process before he can return to the field. The Jaguars haven't cut Blackmon and Caldwell has said more than once that they don't plan on doing so. He's currently on the reserve/suspended list and doesn't count against the roster limit or salary cap.
Fantasy Tip: Blackmon had immense talent but never capitalized on it. He should be avoided in all fantasy football drafts this fall.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon was denied reinstatement by the NFL this offseason, according to The Associated Press' Mark Long. It's unclear whether Blackmon failed a drug test or simply missed one, which counts as a failed test.
Fantasy Tip: Blackmon is still just 25 years old, but he has missed the better part of two seasons. If he makes it back into the league, he'll still have last-round fantasy appeal.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon is likely done with the Jaguars if he's reinstated into the league, in the opinion of beat writer Ryan O'Halloran.
Fantasy Tip: Blackmon was an elite receiver prospect coming out of college, but he has missed the better part of two years. If he makes it back into the league, he's still just 25 and worth a late-round flyer in drafts.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon is progressing, regarding his off-field issues, but still has strides to make. The NFL is in control of his situation as of now. Blackmon pleaded no contest late last year to a misdemeanor for marijuana possession, among a litany of other problems.
Fantasy Tip: It's still unknown whether Blackmon will be available for the 2015 season. Even if he does return, he'll still need to prove himself again on the field before he's worth considering for a fantasy roster.
Sun, 01 Feb 2015 05:59:45 -0800
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon has "paid his dues" and has "his life together," according to owner Shahid Khan. Khan is also "very optimistic" Blackmon will return to the team next season.
Fantasy Tip: Blackmon has a long road ahead of him if he is going to return to fantasy relevance. The potential is there, but fantasy owners will want to see on-field evidence before overreacting to the hype which could surround the former first-round pick. He hasn't played a game since Oct. 2013, remember.
Sun, 25 Jan 2015 18:13:24 -0800
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon has overcome his issues, and plenty of league sources expect him to be back with the team in 2015.
Fantasy Tip: Blackmon's fantasy value is still to be determined, and it will help to see him in training camp and the preseason to gauge how much of a factor he will be and how early. Still, if he can return to the form which made him a first-round draft pick, he could be a legitimate fantasy option in 2015. And his addition would help the appeal of Blake Bortles, too.
Tue, 30 Dec 2014 10:46:18 -0800
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon isn't necessarily in the team's plans for next season, according to general manager David Caldwell. However, the team would like to have him on the field if he's ready, and they aren't expected to release him, either. "I think we have to treat it as a luxury. If he comes back that's great, if he doesn't -- we can't count on it. We feel good about the three guys we've got and if he comes back that's even better," Caldwell said. The Jags have heard that Blackmon has dedicated himself to being healthier and returning to football. Jacksonville is under no financial obligation to keep Blackmon since he's not currently on the roster.
Fantasy Tip: Blackmon still has a long road in order to return to action in the NFL, as he'll need to be reinstated by the commissioner next year. With Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns and Marqise Lee in the picture, Blackmon won't be guaranteed anything if he returns to the active roster next season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are open to taking WR Justin Blackmon back and playing him this year if the league reinstates him from his indefinite suspension, according to a source with knowledge of the team's plans.
Fantasy Tip: The expectation is that Blackmon won't play at all in 2014. But if for some reason the NFL decides to lighten up on his penalty, he'll be playing in Jacksonville. For how many games that would be would be a complete guess. Blackmon is undraftable until we know more.

Burton caught seven passes for 65 yards in the first three games of the season.

Fantasy Tip: It's unknown how much time Gabbert will have to miss, so it's conceivable that Chad Henne could impress the coaching staff enough in his absence to win the job. We'll have to wait and see. Henne's return to the starting role should help the values of Justin Blackmon and Cecil Shorts, if anything. Henne is a mildly intriguing bye week filler at QB if you're desperate.

Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon made his regular season debut in Week 5 against the St. Louis Rams, and he hauled in five receptions for a game-high 136 yards and a touchdown. He was targeted nine times.
Fantasy Tip: Blackmon should be added in all fantasy leagues if you need receiver help, as he is back from suspension and apparently ready to make an impact. His team will be behind plenty, so he should continue to see plenty of targets. He is a solid WR3/4 or flex fantasy option going forward.
