Fri, 24 May 2013 15:29:15 -0700 Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon (groin) did not participate in any of the organized team activities this week because of a groin injury. Fantasy Tip: Blackmon's fantasy value has taken a hit because of his four-game suspension but should still be the Jaguars' No. 1 receiver when he returns. Owners should look at Blackmon as a No. 4 receiver entering their drafts and could be an option in the middle or later rounds.
Mon, 13 May 2013 16:56:28 -0700 Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon has met with head coach Gus Bradley and general manager David Caldwell after getting suspended for the first four games of the 2013 season. Blackmon has been a student in the team's facility since the suspension, and the team still believes in him. Fantasy Tip: It is a good sign for the team that Blackmon has spent so much time in the facility after the suspension was announced. Still, one has to think that any more off field issues could hurt the team's faith in him.
Fri, 03 May 2013 10:31:50 -0700 Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley said he still trusts WR Justin Blackmon even though Blackmon has been suspended for the first four games of the 2013 season. "I told Justin I do trust him," Bradley said. "We both have to earn each other's trust and I don't want trust to be mistaken for being naïve." Bradley said he has spoken six or seven times with Blackmon since the team learned of his suspension.
Wed, 01 May 2013 11:55:41 -0700 Jacksonville Jaguars WR Cecil Shorts III said WR Justin Blackmon will be missed and that teammates will need to support him. "We are going to miss Justin Blackmon to start the season...guys will need to step up and we support him," Blackmon said.
Wed, 01 May 2013 07:05:48 -0700 The Jacksonville Jaguars could release WR Justin Blackmon without any further financial ramifications after his suspension. However, they have no intention to do so.
Tue, 30 Apr 2013 13:33:14 -0700 Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon admitted he made a mistake. "I've made a mistake and I have no excuse. I am sorry & disappointed in myself for putting the Jaguars in this situation"
Tue, 30 Apr 2013 12:56:40 -0700 Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon has been suspended four games by the NFL. Fantasy Tip: Blackmon was suspended for violating the NFL policy on substance abuse, and it'll mean an increased workload for Cecil Shorts and Mohamed Massaquoi in the first quarter of the 2013 season. Shorts, in particular, could be considered a No. 2 WR in PPR leagues the first four weeks but probably will perform closer to a No. 3 wideout in those formats over the entire season. Blackmon is still worth drafting even though his value now takes a hit. He is likely a No. 4 WR heading into drafts.
Sun, 30 Dec 2012 21:54:11 -0800 Tennessee Titans rookie WR Kendall Wright led the team with 64 receptions, and he tied Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon with the most catches by a rookie in the NFL this season. Wright averaged 9.8 yards per catch, and said the transition from college to the NJFL was made easier by watching WR Nate Washington. "I just watched what Nate did and tried to do the same things," Wright said.
Thu, 27 Dec 2012 05:39:18 -0800 Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon has recorded 32 receptions and three touchdowns over his last six games.
Sun, 09 Dec 2012 19:41:41 -0800 Jacksonville Jaguars WR Justin Blackmon had six receptions for a team-high 57 yards in the Week 14 game against the New York Jets. WR Jordan Shipley managed 55 yards on five grabs, and WR Kevin Elliott finished with 38 yards on three receptions.
