Brian Allee-Walsh, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports New Orleans Saints LB Dan Morgan said working at outside linebacker feels different after playing several years at middle linebacker but is excited about the situation. "I have the speed and the athletic ability to play on the outside, but it's definitely a different feeling out there than in the middle. It's actually kind of fun. I was real excited to get back out there," Morgan said.

Updating a previous report, Pat Yasinskas, of ESPN.com, reports New Orleans Saints LB Dan Morgan said he has filed his reinstatement papers with the NFL and plans to rejoin the Saints. Morgan has talked to the team and said they seem interested of having him play.

Mike Triplett, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, reports New Orleans Saints LB Dan Morgan has informed the Saints that he will return to football after a one-year retirement, according to general manager Mickey Loomis. The Saints will maintain his rights if he is reinstated, but it is not known if the team will keep him on their roster or allow him to play elsewhere.
