White Sox | Jose Quintana winless vs. KC

Fri, 24 Apr 2015 09:43:03 -0700

Chicago White Sox SP Jose Quintana is 0-6 with a 4.66 ERA in 13 career starts against the Kansas City Royals.

Fantasy Tip: Quintana ($5,500, 11.0% of cap) doesn't have good history against the Royals, and he's off to a rough start in 2015 (1-1, 8.40 ERA and 1.73 WHIP in 15 innings). The combination of the both should make you want to avoid him in FantasyScore contests this evening. Plus, the Royals haven't been an offense that oppenents have been able to push around in the early going.

Indians | Lonnie Chisenhall out of Tuesday lineup

Tue, 14 Apr 2015 13:12:16 -0700

Cleveland Indians 3B Lonnie Chisenhall is not in the lineup Tuesday, April 14, against the Chicago White Sox. 3B Mike Aviles starts against White Sox SP Jose Quintana.

Fantasy Tip: Chisenhall ($2,300, 4.6% of cap) looks like he's getting a regular night out of the lineup. Aviles ($2,000, 4% of cap) is a light hitter so it's recommended you go elsewhere or find a similar third baseman to save some money.

White Sox | Jose Quintana not royal against KC

Mon, 06 Apr 2015 20:27:15 -0700

Fantasy Tip: The Royals are hitting .279 against him in those 12 starts, so FantasyScore owners will want to avoid him at $6,200 (or 12.4% of cap) until he is able to change his luck against KC.

White Sox | Chris Sale won't make OD

Wed, 11 Mar 2015 16:04:03 -0700

Chicago White Sox SP Chris Sale (foot) will not take the mound on opening day, as the team looks to play it safe with him after he fractured a bone in his right foot at the start of spring training. Sale was supposed to be out of action for three weeks after suffering the injury unloading his truck Feb. 27, and he could return to on-field activities around March 21. SPs Jeff Samardzija or Jose Quintana could take the ball in the season opener April 6 against the Kansas City Royals. The White Sox are looking at April 12 as Sale's potential season debut.

Fantasy Tip: Despite Sale's spring injury, he remains in fantasy ace territory, and he'll basically be missing just one start, unless he suffers a setback when he returns to action in spring training. You could see Sale's price drop a tad in upcoming drafts. If that's the case, make sure to pounce on his newfound value.
