Do not expect a corner infielder to be added to the Baltimore Orioles roster during the winter meetings, if at all, according to new general manager Dan Duquette. "I usually stick to the script," he said. "We're looking for a backup catcher, we're looking for another outfielder, and we're looking to add to our pitching staff."

Former Montreal Expos and Boston Red Sox general manager Dan Duquette met with Baltimore Orioles managing partner Peter Angelos Sunday, Nov. 6, making this the third consecutive day that he has interviewed with club officials. The sense is that Duquette could be offered a contract as soon as Sunday and he would likely accept the job, after having been out of the major leagues since 2002, according to sources.

He had interviewed with the team Friday, Nov. 4, and is expected to return to Baltimore to finalize a contract Saturday, Nov. 5.
