Fantasy Tip: Eaton's MRI didn't show structural damage, so this could be one of those cases when Andrews doesn't condemn a player's season. Still, it's a reason to remain cautious when expecting Eaton to make a dent for your SB potential this season.

They'll probably proceed a little more cautiously this time. A.J. Pollock's seemingly dwindling value just received a slight jolt, although he's still contending with Jason Kubel, Gerardo Parra and Cody Ross.

Sat, 11 May 2013 12:34:29 -0700 Arizona Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said OF Adam Eaton (elbow) is making progress in his rehab and expects Eaton to start playing in the outfield for Triple-A Reno next week as part of his rehab assignment. "He's getting really close," Gibson said. "We'll have him start throwing longer, and then he'll start throwing relays and stuff like that and then we'll get him in the game." Eaton has been used as a designated hitter since starting his rehab assignment and is only hitting .120.

Eaton will throw from 60 feet Monday, April 22, according to general manager Kevin Towers. Fantasy Tip: Eaton is about a couple of weeks from returning to the majors. He will go on a minor-league rehab assignment when he is ready to throw, playing for Triple-A Reno and serving as the DH initially. When he is able to return, he'll find a crowded outfield. He is still a good NL-only fantasy option when healthy, but mixed leaguers won't want to bother with him, at least at first.
