The Gaston Gazette reports the Carolina Panthers extended tender offers to the following exclusive rights free agents: QB Matt Lytle, TE Casey Crawford, CB Deveron Harper, LBs Lester Towns and Kory Minor, OL T.J. Washington and FB Brad Hoover. As expected, OLB Hannibal Navies was tendered at $563,000.

Dan Wolken reports for the Charlotte Observer Carolina Panthers LBs Kory Minor (knee) and Dean Wells (calf) practiced earlier today and both are listed as questionable for Sunday. Wells has missed the past two games, and Minor hasn't played since he sprained his medial collateral ligament October 14.

Carolina Panthers head coach George Seifert said DL Sean Gilbert (knee) could be ready to return following the team's BYE week on December 16. He suffered a sprain to his MCL in his left knee. LB Dan Morgan (ankle) is expected to resume practice on Wednesday, and LBs Dean Wells (calf) and Kory Minor (knee) could return that day as well.

John Clayton reports for ESPN the Carolina Panthers Coach George Seifert will wait until Sunday to determine if LB Dean Wells' sore back is loose enough to play Dan Morgan's weakside linebacker spot. If Wells can't play, Nate Hemsley is expected to get the start. Kory Minor starts for Hannibal Navies, the strongside linebacker out with a chest injury. C Jeff Mitchell is expected back in the starting lineup on Sunday.

Updating an earlier story, the Gaston Gazette reports Carolina Panthers OLB Hannibal Navies will not play in this week's game due to a rib injury. Itís unclear at this point how long Navies will be out. Kory Minor will take his place in the starting lineup.

The Charlotte Observer reports Carolina Panthers coach George Seifert said he didn't know the severity of the injuries suffered by LBs Hannibal Navies (ribs) and Dean Wells (back spasms) in Sunday's loss. The injuries forced the team to use second-year player Kory Minor and Nate Hemsley, who was signed when Dan Morgan broke his leg last week. The team might have to sign additional personnel.

The Charlotte Observer reports Carolina Panthers head coach George Seifert is expected to announce whether or not QB Jeff Lewis plays in the season finale on Wednesday. Lewis and Steve Beuerlein split action on Sunday. LB Kory Minor injured his left knee and underwent a magnetic resonance imaging to determine the extent of the damage. Results were not immediately released.
