Twins | Eddie Rosario demoted

Wed, 18 May 2016 17:38:01 -0700

Minnesota Twins OF Eddie Rosario has been optioned to Class AAA Rochester. He hit just .209 with three home runs and 11 RBIs through 115 at-bats this season and was pulled from the game against the Detroit Tigers Wednesday, May 18, after committing several mistakes in the field and on the bases.

Fantasy Tip: After collecting four hits in a game against the Brewers April 21, Rosario went into a deep slump, batting .182 with no walks and 18 strikeouts in 66 at-bats. He was hitting just .174 versus lefties in 2016 and has swung at 45.9 percent of the pitches he has seen outside of the strike zone. Oswaldo Arcia should see most of the action in left field for Minnesota and is worth rostering in AL-only and deep mixed fantasy leagues.

Twins | Oswaldo Arcia, Kurt Suzuki resting Saturday

Sat, 14 May 2016 11:13:58 -0700

Minnesota Twins OF Oswaldo Arcia and C Kurt Suzuki are out of the starting lineup against Cleveland Indians SP Corey Kluber Saturday, May 14. OF Eddie Rosario will play left field and bat seventh, while C Juan Centeno will start behind the plate and bat eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario is just 4-for-21 over the past two weeks and is batting .198 for the season, so he is not a recommended fantasy option this afternoon. Centeno is 3-for-8 at the plate and should be viewed as a means of desperation cap relief in daily contests.

Twins | Oswaldo Arcia sitting out

Wed, 11 May 2016 08:12:23 -0700

Minnesota Twins OF Oswaldo Arcia is out of the lineup Wednesday, May 11, with OF Eddie Rosario hitting seventh.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario is hitting just .196, but he faces a relative unknown against Tyler Wilson. Rosario has hits in three straight and has extra-base pop, which makes him a basement option in DFS.

C Juan Centeno will start at catcher and is batting eighth, while OF Eddie Rosario will start in left field and is batting ninth.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario is the only one of the three that has had some success at the plate this season but he is hitting only .193. Owners probably should look for better options to use and avoid Rosario, Mastroianni and Centeno.

Twins | Oswaldo Arcia draws into lineup

Fri, 06 May 2016 14:52:43 -0700

Minnesota Twins OF Oswaldo Arcia is starting in left field and is hitting seventh against Chicago White Sox SP Mat Latos Friday, May 6. OF Eddie Rosario will start on the bench.

Fantasy Tip: Arcia has a lot of raw power from the left side and has three home runs and nine RBI on the year, to go with a .273 average. Latos has been magnificent to start the year but is due for regression. It could come tonight, and Arcia takes the form of a sleeper pick with potential.

Mon, 02 May 2016 14:25:41 -0700

Minnesota Twins OF Oswaldo Arcia is not in the starting lineup against Houston Astros left-handed SP Dallas Keuchel Monday, May 2. OF Eddie Rosario receives the start in left field and is hitting sixth.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario does have three home runs in the first month of the season, but he's also hitting just .190 (15-for-79) and makes for a low-end outfield option in daily formats with Keuchel on the hill.

Twins | Eddie Rosario goes 4-for-4

Thu, 21 Apr 2016 15:20:02 -0700

Minnesota Twins OF Eddie Rosario went 4-for-4 with a run and an RBI during the Twins' 8-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers Thursday, April 21.

Fantasy Tip: It has been a slow start for Rosario, but the sophomore had a nice debut in 2015 (60 runs, 13 home runs, 50 RBI and 11 stolen bases with a .267 batting average through 453 at-bats) and is a viable outfield option in deep mixed leagues. The big game Thursday brought Rosario's slash line up to .245/.288/.408 for the campaign.

Minnesota Twins 3B Eduardo Nunez, OF Oswaldo Arcia and C Kurt Suzuki are out of the lineup Thursday, April 21. 3B Jorge Polanco is leading off, OF Eddie Rosario is hitting fifth and C J.R. Murphy hits seventh.

Minnesota Twins OF Byron Buxton is not in the starting lineup against Milwaukee Brewers SP Jimmy Nelson Wednesday, April 20. OF Eddie Rosario will start in center field and is batting seventh in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario has received regular at-bats during the early part of the season but has only three hits in his last seven games. He is coming off a game where he recorded one home run and two RBI, but owners probably will be able to find better candidates to use.
