Twins | Eddie Rosario goes 4-for-4

Thu, 21 Apr 2016 15:20:02 -0700

Minnesota Twins OF Eddie Rosario went 4-for-4 with a run and an RBI during the Twins' 8-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers Thursday, April 21.

Fantasy Tip: It has been a slow start for Rosario, but the sophomore had a nice debut in 2015 (60 runs, 13 home runs, 50 RBI and 11 stolen bases with a .267 batting average through 453 at-bats) and is a viable outfield option in deep mixed leagues. The big game Thursday brought Rosario's slash line up to .245/.288/.408 for the campaign.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario has homered in consecutive games and is the only one of the trio worth a low-end start against Taylor Jungmann.

Twins | Byron Buxton sitting out

Wed, 20 Apr 2016 14:55:39 -0700

Minnesota Twins OF Byron Buxton is not in the starting lineup against Milwaukee Brewers SP Jimmy Nelson Wednesday, April 20. OF Eddie Rosario will start in center field and is batting seventh in the lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario has received regular at-bats during the early part of the season but has only three hits in his last seven games. He is coming off a game where he recorded one home run and two RBI, but owners probably will be able to find better candidates to use.

Twins | Eddie Rosario sits again

Tue, 19 Apr 2016 09:12:08 -0700

Minnesota Twins OF Eddie Rosario is out of the starting lineup for the second straight day Tuesday, April 19. OF Oswaldo Arcia is starting in left field and is batting fifth against Milwaukee Brewers SP Wily Peralta.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario is off to a slow start (6-for-41, .146 with 13 strikeouts) and has lost playing time to Arcia recently. This could develop into a platoon situation with Arcia facing right-handers. Peralta has looked very hittable to begin the year, so Arcia could make for a successful cheap flyer in daily contests Tuesday.

Twins | Brian Dozier, Byron Buxton out

Fri, 15 Apr 2016 13:57:28 -0700

Minnesota Twins 2B Brian Dozier and OF Byron Buxton (hand) are not in the starting lineup Friday, April 15. SS Eduardo Nunez is at the keystone and leading off, while OF Oswaldo Arcia is starting in left field and hitting fifth against Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim SP Garrett Richards. Also, OF Eddie Rosario moves from left field to center field, and he's hitting eighth.

Fantasy Tip: Buxton's hand is bruised, so he could return at any point this weekend. He's off to a bad start, though, so you may want to bench him where you own him until he gets things going. Nunez and Arcia are in favorable lineup spots, but until the Twins get going offensively, nobody in their lineup is really attractive in daily games.

Twins | Eddie Rosario out of lineup

Fri, 08 Apr 2016 13:30:47 -0700

Minnesota Twins OF Eddie Rosario is not in the starting lineup Friday, April 8. SS Danny Santana is starting in left field and hitting second against Kansas City Royals SP Yordano Ventura.

Fantasy Tip: Rosario has two hits in his first 12 at-bats of the year, with one double. Santana will often mix and match in the outfield and infield as a super-utility type. He offers some speed but not much else. He has a favorable lineup spot Friday, but he's not much more than a desperation cheap flyer in daily formats.
