Minnesota Twins OFs Aaron Hicks, Jordan Schafer, Eddie Rosario and Shane Robinson are essentially all battling for the starting center field job in spring training, according to manager Paul Molitor. Molitor said the competition remains wide open, but Hicks is believed to be the favorite for the job and has hit .300/.400/.500 with two triples and two RBI in eight games. Rosario has also turned heads, but he's not on the current active roster and hasn't played above Class AA. Molitor thinks Hicks needs to win the job to make the roster, too, because the team wants him to play every day to further his development.
Fantasy Tip: With Hicks being the favorite for the job, he has to carry the most fantasy value, albeit limited. Hicks could also end up in a platoon in center, which makes his path to consistent at-bats shaky. None of these options should be drafted in standard leagues, and even Hicks is only worth a low investment in AL-only formats.

Minnesota Twins 3B Miguel Sano (elbow) and 2B Eddie Rosario (leg) were both out of action for Single-A Fort Myers Wednesday, May 8. Sano was hit on the left elbow by a pitch earlier this week and Rosario is dealing with a leg injury. "With the morning game, it made sense to give them today off," said Brad Steil, the Twins director of minor leagues. "Sano will probably be in there tomorrow and Rosario in a couple of days." Sano is hitting .387 with 10 home runs and 31 RBIs in 30 games.
Fantasy Tip: Sano is the future at third base for the organization, but he's unlikely to make it up to the majors for another year or two. When he does, he should immediately become an option in all fantasy baseball formats.
