Scouts rave about Houston Astros OF Domingo Santana, who was the fourth piece in the deal for OF Hunter Pence. One scout said he has a chance to be comparable to Baltimore Orioles DH Vladimir Guerrero. "He's still crude right now. But he has the highest ceiling imaginable," the scout said. "You put him in there with the other guys they got, and this has a chance to be like the Bartolo Colon deal was for Cleveland."

Scouts are gushing over Houston Astros OF Domingo Santana, the fourth piece they acquired in the OF Hunter Pence trade with the Philadelphia Phillies. Santana was seventh in the South Atlantic League in doubles (29) and he is just 19 years old. "This guy has a chance to be Vlad Guerrero," one scout said. "He's still crude right now. But he has the highest ceiling imaginable. You put him in there with the other guys they got, and this has a chance to be like the (Bartolo) Colon deal was for Cleveland."

The Houston Astros acquired OF Domingo Santana from the Philadelphia Phillies Monday, Aug. 15, to complete the trade that sent OF Hunter Pence to Philadelphia. Santana will be assigned to Single-A Lexington.
