Mariners | Kyle Seager posts big stat line

Tue, 26 Jul 2016 23:01:55 -0700

Seattle Mariners 3B Kyle Seager finished 3-for-4 with a double, two-run home run and two runs scored Tuesday, July 26, against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Fantasy Tip: Seager started off rather slowly this season, but he has been a fantasy dynamo since around Memorial Day. In July alone he has 10 multi-hit games with five homers and 17 RBIs.

Dodgers | Two more hits for Kyle Seager

Sat, 09 Jul 2016 19:56:47 -0700

Los Angeles Dodgers SS Kyle Seager went 2-for-4 with a run scored Saturday, July 9, against the San Diego Padres to push his average back to .298.

Fantasy Tip: After hitting .343 with eight doubles, a triple, eight homers and 13 RBIs with a 1.085 OPS in the month of June, Seager has cooled a bit in July. He still has four multi-hit games in nine outings, but just three extra-base hits, no homers and one RBI. Still, he is a must-start fantasy option across the board.

Mariners | Kyle Seager continues to roll

Sat, 09 Jul 2016 19:36:24 -0700

Seattle Mariners 3B Kyle Seager went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run Saturday, July 9, against the Kansas City Royals. It wasn't all great, as he was picked off of first base. He has hit safely in 12 straight games.

Fantasy Tip: Seager is rolling it up in the month of July, and he is hitting .455 (20-for-44) with nine runs scored, three homers and 10 RBIs during the impressive hitting streak. He started off slowly, but has re-emerged as an obviously must-start in all fantasy formats and DFS play.

Seattle Mariners 3B Kyle Seager was 2-for-4 in the game Tuesday, July 5, and he has five multi-hit games in his last 11 starts.

Fantasy Tip: Seager is hitting a respectable .277 with 16 home runs and 54 RBI on the season and should remain a middle-tier starting fantasy third sacker.

Mariners | Kyle Seager enjoying Comerica Park

Tue, 21 Jun 2016 19:28:36 -0700

Seattle Mariners 3B Kyle Seager went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run off of Detroit Tigers SP Justin Verlander in the game Tuesday, June 21. It was his second home run in as many nights at Comerica Park.

Fantasy Tip: Seager is very consistent, as he had five homers in April, five in May and he is up to five in the month of June with some time remaining. He started out slowly with the average this season, but he has settled in nicely and re-emerged as a must-start fantasy option across most formats.

Mariners | Kyle Seager struggling at the plate

Wed, 15 Jun 2016 21:22:16 -0700

Seattle Mariners 3B Kyle Seager went 0-for-5 and struck out twice in a loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday, June 15.

Fantasy Tip: With that performance, Seager is now 6-for-40 (.150) with two home runs, five RBI and four runs scored over his last 11 games. After a scorching start to June, this latest run has shaved 24 points off his batting average. While it might be tempting to sit him down for a few days, Seager is too dangerous to risk him having a breakout performance on your bench.

Mariners | Kyle Seager drives in two more

Seattle Mariners 3B Kyle Seager had a two-run home run in three at-bats and he also drew a pair of walks with two strikeouts Tuesday, June 14, against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Fantasy Tip: Seager started out extremely slow, but he has made up for lost time. Since May 17 he has driven in 23 runs in 27 games to run his season total to 46. Since May 1 he has improved this average from .159 to .280, too. He has re-emerged as a must-start in all fantasy leagues.

Mariners | Kyle Seager drives in five

Fri, 03 Jun 2016 03:00:41 -0700

Seattle Mariners 3B Kyle Seager went 3-for-5 with a double, five RBI and two runs scored in a 16-13 win over the San Diego Padres Thursday, June 2, extending his hitting streak to seven games.

Fantasy Tip: Seager has collected at least three hits four times during his current seven-game hit streak, and he has 11 RBI and 10 runs scored over the same span. He is back on track after a slow start, and he is a great DFS option right now with the way he is swinging the bat.

Mariners | Kyle Seager reaches double digits

Tue, 31 May 2016 21:20:18 -0700

Seattle Mariners 3B Kyle Seager went 3-for-4 with his 10th home run of the season Tuesday, May 31, against the San Diego Padres. He finished with a walk, two runs scored and four RBIs.

Fantasy Tip: Seager started out rather slowly for fantasy owners, but patience has certainly paid off. He has homered in back-to-back games for just the second time this season, and he has raised his average from .139 to .274 since April 29.

Mariners | Seattle crushing lefties

Wed, 18 May 2016 15:10:07 -0700

The Seattle Mariners lead the majors in home runs (21) against left-handed pitchers this year, with the Tampa Bay Rays (18) ranked second. OF Nelson Cruz is tied with four other players with five home runs against lefties, and he leads all players with 19 home runs against southpaws since the start of 2015. 3B Kyle Seager is second with 17 homers against lefties since the start of 2015, and he has four this year.

Fantasy Tip: This just shows you that starting a lefty pitcher against Seattle is risky business if they are a midrange starter. Cruz is a must-start in all formats, but he's worth paying up for in DFS against southpaws. Seager, a left-handed hitter, should never be benched against lefties.
