P Josh Stinson was recalled from Double-A Huntsville. Peralta will start against the Miami Marlins Wednesday, Sept. 5, taking the spot of SP Mark Rogers, who has been shut down for the rest of the season. Peralta was 7-11 with a 4.66 ERA in 28 starts with Nashville.
Mon, 20 Aug 2012 16:09:05 -0700 Milwaukee Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said SP Mark Rogers is nearing his innings limit for the season. Rogers threw only 44 1/3 innings last season before having surgery on both of his wrists. He's already thrown 119 innings this year, 95 1/3 with Triple-A Nashville and 23 2/3 innings in the bigs. SP Shaun Marcum (elbow) could return later this week to take Rogers' spot in the rotation. The team could also choose to limit SP Marco Estrada's innings by moving him to the bullpen. SPs Wily Peralta and Tyler Thornburg are options to be called up to make starts down the stretch.
