Toronto Blue Jays OF Kevin Pillar struggled in the month of May, but he has warmed significantly since. He has stepped up defensively, and he has posted a .903 OPS with five home runs and six stolen bases since June 2.

Fantasy Tip: Pillar ($4,400; or 8.8% of cap) has posted decent power and speed numbers for FantasyScore players, and he won't break your DFS budget, either.

Blue Jays | Kevin Pillar jacks two round trippers

Tue, 02 Jun 2015 19:33:34 -0700

Toronto Blue Jays OF Kevin Pillar hit two home runs and drove in four runs during Toronto's 7-3 win over the Washington Nationals in Game 2 of their doubleheader Tuesday, June 2.

Fantasy Tip: Pillar ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) doubled his home run total, and he did it against ace Max Scherzer. So while it is an impressive feat, it was a blip on the radar more than a sign of things to come. Still, Pillar is attached to the league's highest scoring offense, and he is receiving everyday at-bats, so he could begin scratching the surface of viability in deep mixed leagues. FantasyScore players should continue to view him as a low-priced flier.

Blue Jays | Kevin Pillar out vs. Washington

Mon, 01 Jun 2015 13:13:23 -0700

Fantasy Tip: Pillar ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) is stuck in a 9-for-61 slide with just nine runs, a home run, two RBI and a .425 OPS. Full-time at-bats weren't in the plans for Pillar for a reason, but injuries have forced him into action. Thankfully for fantasy players, you can look elsewhere, and you should in all formats, especially at FantasyScore.

Blue Jays | Kevin Pillar out of the lineup vs. Angels

Wed, 20 May 2015 13:17:05 -0700

Toronto Blue Jays OF Kevin Pillar is not in the starting lineup against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Wednesday, May 20. OF Ezequiel Carrera is starting in center field and batting sixth Wednesday.

Fantasy Tip: Make sure to avoid Pillar in all fantasy formats Wednesday. Carrera ($1,900, 3.8% of cap) has been used sparingly of late, and he is currently mired in a 1-for-14 funk. View Carrera as nothing more than a low-priced flier in FantasyScore contests Wednesday, and you should likely aim higher.

Blue Jays | Kevin Pillar struggling

Sun, 17 May 2015 15:11:49 -0700

Toronto Blue Jays OF Kevin Pillar only has four hits in 35 at-bats over 10 games.

Blue Jays | Kevin Pillar hitting fifth

Sun, 10 May 2015 07:03:32 -0700

Toronto Blue Jays OF Kevin Pillar will hit fifth Sunday, May 10, against the Boston Red Sox.

Fantasy Tip: Pillar ($2,900, 5.8% of cap) will have a much more ideal spot in the batting order against Red Sox starter Clay Buchholz. Pillar is a career .239-hitter against righties at the major league level but he'll be looking to take advantage of the shaky Buchholz. Pillar can be included in any Blue Jays stacks in GPP tournaments.
