Braves | Jace Peterson delivering

Sun, 31 May 2015 06:12:28 -0700

Atlanta Braves 2B Jace Peterson has a .281 batting average with 12 runs, a home run, 12 RBI and five stolen bases over his last 25 games.

Fantasy Tip: However, Peterson ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) has hit just .233 over his last 15 games since moving to the leadoff spot. The run, RBI and stolen base totals are nice, though, and if Peterson can keep his head above water in the batting average department, he's a four-category contributor. And they're few and far between among middle infielders. Peterson warrants attention in deep mixed leagues, especially if you're searching for an upgrade at the keystone position.

Braves | Jace Peterson into leadoff spot

Fri, 15 May 2015 12:45:25 -0700

Atlanta Braves 2B Jace Peterson is batting first and playing second base against the Miami Marlins Friday, May 15.

Fantasy Tip: This will be Peterson's ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) second start in the leadoff spot this season, and he went 1-for-4 in the other. He is currently sporting a .410 on-base percentage over his last 10 games with 13 hits through 36 at-bats, so there is upside for FantasyScore players.

Braves | Jace Peterson hitting well lately

Wed, 13 May 2015 10:03:17 -0700

Atlanta Braves 2B Jace Peterson has a .392 average and .458 on-base percentage in the last 15 games. He's 11-for-25 (.440) with one strikeout, a .500 on-base percentage and five multi-hit games in his last seven games.

Fantasy Tip: Peterson ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) is well worth his low FantasyScore price right now while he's hot, and you may want to continue rolling with him as he faces Cincinnati Reds starter Raisel Iglesias Wednesday night.

Braves | Jace Peterson sitting Friday

Fri, 08 May 2015 13:26:07 -0700

Atlanta Braves 2B Jace Peterson is not in the starting lineup Friday, May 8. 2B Phil Gosselin is starting at second base and hitting seventh in the batting order against Washington Nationals SP Gio Gonzalez.

Fantasy Tip: Gosselin ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) isn't worth your time at FantasyScore.

Braves | Jace Peterson on a roll

Wed, 06 May 2015 07:34:04 -0700

Atlanta Braves 2B Jace Peterson is hitting .394 with five RBI in his last 10 games.

Fantasy Tip: Peterson ($2,100, 4.2% of your cap) is at a nice value on FantasyScore during his hot streak.

Braves | Jace Peterson not a regular

Mon, 27 Apr 2015 18:24:48 -0700

Atlanta Braves 2B Jace Peterson is not yet a regular fixture in the lineup, according to manager Fredi Gonzalez. The skipper refuted a report which said Peterson will be the regular second baseman. Gonzalez said Monday, April 27, he will continue to mix and match his lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Peterson has made 13 starts in 17 games. However, he is hitting just .182 entering play Monday, so FantasyScore players haven't had much use for him even at a temptingly low salary of $2,100 (or 4.2% of cap).

Braves | Jace Peterson not playing Tuesday

Tue, 21 Apr 2015 13:49:54 -0700

Atlanta Braves 2B Jace Peterson is out of the starting lineup Tuesday, April 21, with 2B Phil Gosselin starting instead.

Fantasy Tip: Peterson ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) looks like he is out due to the Mets starting Jon Niese. Gosselin ($1,600, 3.2% of cap) is not worth the salary due to a small sample size and one hit in his last 10 at-bats.

Braves | Jace Peterson playing Sunday

Sun, 19 Apr 2015 07:28:33 -0700

Atlanta Braves 2B Jace Peterson is starting at second base against the Toronto Blue Jays Sunday, April 19.

Fantasy Tip: Peterson ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) has recorded a hit in five of his last six games but has not posted a multi-hit game this season. Peterson could be a cheaper option to consider on FantasyScore, but owners may want to look for a better option.

Braves | Alberto Callaspo draws another start

Tue, 14 Apr 2015 15:04:30 -0700

Atlanta Braves 2B Alberto Callaspo is starting at second base and hitting second against Miami Marlins SP Tom Koehler Tuesday, April 14. 2B Jace Peterson will be on the bench again.

Fantasy Tip: Callaspo ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) is hot to start the year (.471, 8-for-17) and is earning his spot in the Bravos' lineup. He'll be a sleeper option at FantasyScore while he's swinging the stick well, but he doesn't offer a whole lot of offensive upside to daily gamers.

Braves | Alberto Callaspo starting at 2B

Mon, 13 Apr 2015 11:42:15 -0700

Atlanta Braves 2B Alberto Callaspo is starting at second base and hitting second in the starting lineup against Miami Marlins SP Mat Latos Monday, April 13. 2B Jace Peterson is sitting the bench.

Fantasy Tip: Callaspo ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) isn't a bad buy-low option for second base at FantasyScore, especially when considering that the Braves torched Latos just last week.
