Updating previous reports, Tampa Bay Rays sandwich pick SS Brandon Martin signed a deal with a $860,000 bonus, which was $1,400 over slot at No. 38.

The Tampa Bay Rays used the 38th overall selection in the 2011 Major League Baseball draft to take SS Brandon Martin, out of Santiago High in Corona, Calif.
