The San Francisco Giants reassigned P Seth Rosin, Shawn Sanford, C Andrew Susac, SS Joe Panik and C Tommy Joseph to minor league camp. The team optioned OF Francisco Peguero and SS Ehire Adrianza to Triple-A Fresno.

San Diego Padres 2B Cory Spangenberg tops the list of 10 second basemen prospects to watch for 2012, according to MLB.com. Also on the list, in order, are Jonathan Schoop (Orioles), Kolten Wong (Cardinals), Oscar Tejeda (Red Sox), Cesar Hernandez (Phillies), Delino DeShields Jr. (Astros), Charlie Culberson (Giants), Scooter Gennett (Brewers), Reese Havens (Mets) and Joe Panik (Giants).

The San Francisco Giants have signed SS Joe Panik (St. John's), their first-round selection in the 2011 MLB Draft. He will report to the team's minor league affiliate in Salem-Keizer, Ore., Friday, June 17.
