Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim DH C.J. Cron was sent to Triple-A Saturday, July 19, to make room for CL Huston Street, according to Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times. DiGiovanna believes the move is temporary and is in response to the team's need for an extra arm following the 16-inning game Friday, July 18.
Fantasy Tip: Cron should be removed from daily fantasy lineups for now, but don't cut him loose just yet.

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim manager Mike Scioscia said 1B C.J. Cron likely will receive more at-bats because of the release of DH Raul Ibanez. Scioscia also said 1B Albert Pujols and OF Josh Hamilton probably will also serve at the designated hitter at times.

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim OF C.J. Cron has continued to lose playing time to OF Raul Ibanez. Ibanez has started three straight games against righties, even though he has a slash line of .153/.257/.258 on the season. Manager Mike Scioscia said Ibanez has had some good at-bats recently and is starting to hit his stride. Cron has three hits and seven strikeouts in his last 20 at-bats and hasn't started since last Wednesday.
Fantasy Tip: Cron's lack of consistent playing time is frustrating and demonstrates that he should only be owned in AL-only leagues. He'll continue to see at-bats against lefties, but getting Ibanez going appears to be Scioscia's motive right now.

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim OFs Raul Ibanez and C.J. Cron are unlikely to start this weekend, according to manager Mike Scioscia. The Angels are playing in Atlanta and there is no option to have a designated hitter.
Fantasy Tip: Make sure Ibanez and Cron aren't in your AL-only lineups this weekend.

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are on the verge of getting several injured players back from the 15-day disabled list, and they might conceivably be facing a decision between OF Grant Green, who can play up to four positions, and 1B C.J. Cron, who is a slugging prospect who can spell 1B Albert Pujols.

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 1B C.J. Cron is expected to share time at the designated hitter position with OF Raul Ibanez. He will also spell 1B Albert Pujols at first base.
Fantasy Tip: This news doesn't bode well for the soon-to-be 42-year-old Ibanez, who was hitting only .149 (13-for-87) entering play Sunday, May 4, and had seen some playing time at first base for the first time since 2010 prior to Cron being called up.

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim recalled 1B C.J. Cron and 3B Luis Jimenez from Triple-A Salt Lake. Both are in the lineup Saturday, May 3.
Fantasy Tip: Both have AL-only value, but Cron's ceiling is high enough to be considered for deep mixed leagues.
