San Diego Padres 1B Eric Hosmer, 2B Carlos Asuaje, C Austin Hedges, and OF Franchy Cordero are out of the lineup Saturday, April 14, against the San Francisco Giants. Hosmer is replaced by 1B Chase Headley, who will bat fifth. Asauje's replacement is 2B Cory Spangenberg, who hits sixth. OF Matt Szczur bats seventh in place of Cordero, and C A.J. Ellis bats eighth for Hedges.

San Diego Padres 2B Cory Spangenberg (wrist) is expected to return to the field Tuesday, March 6, after having recently battled a jammed left wrist. He went 1-for-4 with a home run as the designated hitter Friday, March 2, and will serve as the DH again Sunday, March 4.
