Cardinals | Randall Grichuk, Kolten Wong out vs. Mets

Wed, 27 Jul 2016 13:46:36 -0700

St. Louis Cardinals OF Randal Grichuk and 2B Kolten Wong are not in the starting lineup Wednesday, July 27. Cardinals OF Tommy Pham is starting in center field and is hitting eighth, while 2B Greg Garcia is at the keystone and batting leadoff against Mets SP Logan Verrett Wednesday.

Fantasy Tip: Grichuk and Wong haven't played since Sunday, July 24. It's a concerning trend, especially for Wong. Grichuk could enter into a semi-platoon and start solely against lefties, which would be bad. But Wong can't beat out Garcia for playing time right now, as Garcia boasts a .451 on-base percentage for the season. Garcia is a potential add in deep mixed leagues, but he's unlikely to sustain his current production, and he offers extremely limited pop.
