Indians | Three-hit day for Francisco Lindor

Sun, 24 Apr 2016 14:15:05 -0700

Cleveland Indians SS Francisco Lindor posted his second three-hit game in less than a week on Sunday, April 24, going 3-for-4 and scoring twice in a win over the Detroit Tigers.

Fantasy Tip: The 22-year-old sophomore is off to a bit of a slow start in the power categories (one home run, five RBI), but he has been stellar offensively for the most part. Lindor has a plum spot as the third hitter in the Indians' order and is an obvious must-start, assuming his .323 average at an otherwise weak fantasy position wasn't a good enough reason.

Indians | Three-hit game for Francisco Lindor

Tue, 19 Apr 2016 21:38:32 -0700

Cleveland Indians SS Francisco Lindor went 3-for-3 with a double, run scored and a bases-loaded walk Tuesday, April 19, against the Seattle Mariners.

Fantasy Tip: Lindor was outstanding in this one, and his average is up to a robust .326. Anyone expecting a sophomore slump has been disappointed, as Lindor continues to hum along and hit at a high level.

Indians | Francisco Lindor continues to produce

Thu, 14 Apr 2016 15:45:51 -0700

Cleveland Indians SS Francisco Lindor is hitting .360/.404/.561 in his last 275 plate appearances and has 16 doubles, four triples, eight home runs and 12 stolen bases in his last 62 games during that span.

Fantasy Tip: Lindor has not looked overmatched at all in the majors after he was rushed to the big leagues last year. He was known more for his defensive prowess in the minors, though, so don't automatically expect him to improve on his numbers from 2015 (12 home runs, .313 average).

Indians | Francisco Lindor leads off, Kipnis third

Wed, 06 Apr 2016 11:35:08 -0700

Cleveland Indians SS Francisco Lindor bumped up to the leadoff spot Wednesday, April 6, with 2B Jason Kipnis sliding to the three-hole against a right-hander. Kipnis hit second, with Lindor in the three-hole, against a lefty to open the season.

Fantasy Tip: Kipnis receives the obvious bump in the third spot, and he's a daily consideration in DFS. Lindor's value adjusts from a run-producing spot to a spark plug, and he's a daily consideration at his position as well.

Indians | Jason Kipnis to remain leadoff hitter?

Wed, 17 Feb 2016 11:28:37 -0800

Cleveland Indians 2B Jason Kipnis, SS Francisco Lindor and OF Rajai Davis are reportedly the frontrunners to bat leadoff this season. Kipnis batted .311 and scored 81 runs in 492 at-bats out of the top spot but may be needed to bat in the middle of the order with OF Michael Brantley (shoulder) scheduled to open the season on the disabled list.

Fantasy Tip: Lindor and Davis both offer prototypical speed out of the leadoff spot, but neither offers quite as much production as Kipnis. Lindor, who took most of his swings out of the two-hole as a rookie last year, will move up a spot in all likelihood while Kipnis fills in for Brantley at No. 3. Kipnis is one of the best options at second base regardless of where he bats, although a temporary move to the three-spot could boost his RBI totals a bit.

Cleveland Indians SS Francisco Lindor went 3-for-5 with a triple and two runs scored in a 6-3 win over the Minnesota Twins Thursday, Sept. 24.

Fantasy Tip: Lindor ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) is hitting .366 in September, and he is a great shortstop option at FantasyScore right now.

Indians | Francisco Lindor continues surge

Fri, 18 Sep 2015 19:56:37 -0700

Cleveland Indians SS Francisco Lindor went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored in a 12-1 win over the Chicago White Sox Friday, Sept. 18.

Fantasy Tip: Lindor ($4,900, 9.8% of cap) has hit safely in nine straight games, and he has three homers, nine RBI and eight runs scored during the stretch. Stick with him at FantasyScore until he cools off.

Indians | Francisco Lindor under the weather

Tue, 08 Sep 2015 15:18:31 -0700

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Indians SS Francisco Lindor (illness) was feeling ill after the game Monday, Sept. 7, and manager Terry Francona gave him the day off Tuesday, Sept. 8, to "catch his breath a little bit."

Fantasy Tip: Make sure you take Lindor out of your daily lineups tonight. Mike Aviles ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) is starting in his place at shortstop tonight but should be avoided on FantasyScore, even while hitting in the two-hole. Aviles has very little power and typically struggles to fill up the stat sheet.

Indians | Francisco Lindor receiving a breather

Tue, 08 Sep 2015 13:58:31 -0700

Cleveland Indians SS Francisco Lindor is not in the starting lineup Tuesday, Sept. 8. SS Mike Aviles is starting at the 6 and is hitting second against Chicago White Sox SP Carlos Rodon.

Fantasy Tip: Aviles ($3,100, 6.2% of cap) is a player you shouldn't want to count on at FantasyScore, even when he's starting and hitting high in the batting order. The veteran infielder is hitting just .223 (55-for-247) with five home runs and 14 RBI on the year.
