Indians | Francisco Lindor swipes three bags

Wed, 26 Aug 2015 20:43:44 -0700

Cleveland Indians SS Francisco Lindor finished 2-for-3 with a pair of walks and a run scored Wednesday, Aug. 26, against the Milwaukee Brewers. He also stole a career-high three bases.

Fantasy Tip: Lindor ($4,800, 9.6% of cap) has been doing a little bit of everything lately, hitting .387 (36-for-93) with six doubles, two homers, 11 RBIs and four steals in the month of August. At this price level he is a great play.

Indians | Francisco Lindor homers to win game

Sun, 23 Aug 2015 14:49:22 -0700

Cleveland Indians SS Francisco Lindor had a game-winning home run Sunday, Aug. 23, as the Indians beat the New York Yankees 4-3.

Fantasy Tip: Lindor ($3,700, 7.4% of cap) has proven to be a decent addition, even though he has a .241 average in the month of August. His .292-6-26 line suggests a player whose power may not have come out completely but whose full potential remains to be tapped. At this price, he makes a decent FantasyScore player.

Indians | Jose Ramirez to start at 2B

Tue, 04 Aug 2015 11:10:43 -0700

Cleveland Indians SS Jose Ramirez will see the majority of time at second base with 2B Jason Kipnis (shoulder) on the disabled list, according to manager Terry Francona. Ramirez hit leadoff and played second base Monday, Aug. 3. The leadoff spot could be in flux without Kipnis there, though. SS Francisco Lindor and OF Michael Bourn are other options.

Fantasy Tip: Hitting leadoff increase daily fantasy value, but Ramirez ($2,100, 4.2% of cap) is still probably nothing more than a sleeper pick on FantasyScore and a salary cap relief. Bourn ($2,800, 5.6% of cap) has been hitting well since the All-Star break and would be much more intriguing as a sleeper if he's hitting atop the lineup.

Indians | Career high for Francisco Lindor

Wed, 29 Jul 2015 18:13:05 -0700

Cleveland Indians SS Francisco Lindor went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run Wednesday, July 29, against the Kansas City Royals, finishing with a career-high four RBIs.

Fantasy Tip: The switch-hitting rookie Lindor ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) entered the month with just one homer, but he has two in the past three days for a total of seven RBIs. However, all but one of his season's homers have come at home, and the Indians hit the road for a six-game trip, so FantasyScore players might want to hold off on using him until the team returns to C-Town.

Indians | Francisco Lindor showing maturity

Mon, 20 Jul 2015 16:04:18 -0700

Cleveland Indians SS Francisco Lindor is showing maturity and not worrying about his early struggles at the plate. "It's early ... I don't have many at-bats" Lindor said Saturday, July 18. Lindor then raised his batting average by 22 points over the next two games.

Fantasy Tip: Lindor ($4,100, 8.2% of cap) is hitting .246 for the season, with two home runs and one stolen base through 127 plate appearances. Lindor should be owned in AL-only leagues and deep mixed leagues, but in 12-team leagues his value is mostly in keeper formats.

Indians | Mike Aviles batting second

Wed, 01 Jul 2015 14:55:36 -0700

Cleveland Indians SS Mike Aviles is starting at shortstop and batting second against Tampa Bay Rays Alex Colome Wednesday, July 1, with SS Francisco Lindor out of the starting lineup.

Fantasy Tip: Hitting in the two-hole, Aviles ($3,200, 6.4% of cap) is a worthy low-priced flier for FantasyScore players. Expect Lindor ($4,000, 8.0% of cap) to return to the lineup sooner than later. Although, his fantasy value is quite limited, as he sports a .211/.258/.281 slash line over his first 15 games.
