Cleveland Indians SP Trevor Bauer has been able to succeed lately, even when he doesn't have his best stuff. He threw just 60.5 percent of his pitches for strikes Monday, June 16, against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and walked four batters. However, he was still able to consistently hit 94-95 mph with his fastball during his final inning.

Cleveland Indians SP Trevor Bauer notched the win against the Detroit Tigers after he allowed two runs and struck out five in six innings Tuesday, May 20. "He was aggressive, attacking the strike zone," Indians manager Terry Francona said. "He changed speeds and used all his pitches. That's not the easiest assignment, coming up from Triple-A to face them. He really did a great job."

The Cleveland Indians activated 1B Jason Giambi (calf) from the disabled list Tuesday, May 20, and recalled SP Trevor Bauer and SS Justin Sellers from Triple-A Columbus. Also, 1B Jesus Aguilar, RP T.J. House and INF Jose Ramirez were optioned to Columbus in corresponding moves.

Cleveland Indians SP Trevor Bauer arrived at the team's clubhouse Monday, May 19, with knowledge that this was no longer a one-day stay. He will be joining the team's rotation on a regular basis following the demotion of SP Danny Salazar. "Hopefully what the really good part of this will be is that it's not just a one-start thing," manager Terry Francona said. "We're kind of excited to see how he's going to go, because we've been talking now for a year. This guy is a big part of what we want to do going forward. And to see him growing and understanding, it's exciting."
Fantasy Tip: Bauer appears to be a strong long-term fantasy keeper, but for now he is only worth using in most AL-only formats and the deepest of mixed play. If he acclimates well to the majors, he can also be an option to help rotisserie owners for his strikeout potential.

Cleveland Indians SP Trevor Bauer will be recalled from the minors and start Tuesday, May 20.
Fantasy Tip: Run to the waiver wire and add Bauer everywhere if you have the room.

Cleveland Indians SP Carlos Carrasco has been demoted to the bullpen after going 0-3 with a 6.95 ERA in four starts. SP Zach McAllister will start on short rest in Carrasco's place Wednesday, April 30. The team won't need a fifth starter until May 6.
Fantasy Tip: Trevor Bauer is probably the option the team will call up to take the fifth spot. He's 3-0 with a 1.40 ERA and 28 strikeouts to seven walks in 25 2/3 innings at Triple-A Columbus. He's probably owned in most AL-only leagues, but if you want to take a shot on him in mixed leagues, now is the time to do it.

Cleveland Indians SP Danny Salazar said he has struggled with tipping pitches in the past and may be experiencing similar problems now. He watched video and noticed his glove position has changed when he's switched between fastballs and changeups; he said that when throwing the latter, he sometimes opens his glove up too much. Salazar has also experienced issues when facing a lineup the second time around. Cleveland is unlikely to force Salazar to try working things out in the minor leagues; they've recently affirmed their confidence directly to Salazar.
Fantasy Tip: Salazar is worth stashing in deep leagues; if he can fix his issues with his delivery and stamina, he could have a fine finish to the season. You have to consider how patient you can be in shallower formats, though. A surging Trevor Bauer may join the rotation if Salazar can't recover.

Nothing is official yet, but Cleveland Indians SP Trevor Bauer is expected to be called up to start one of the games of a doubleheader against the San Diego Padres Wednesday, April 9.
Fantasy Tip: Bauer isn't worth addition in most standard leagues, because he's likely to be sent back to the minors after his start. However, he's not a bad streaming option for the day for the matchup against the Friars.
