"I have no doubt about Tommie Campbell being a starter somewhere, whether it's here later on or next year, or somewhere else," Verner said. "I feel like he has a lot of skills that are going to make him successful in this league and he's hungry. He wants to learn. He wants to get better, so I have no doubt about it." Campbell received some of Verner's playing time in the team's Week 17 game.
Sun, 30 Dec 2012 21:52:45 -0800 Tennessee Titans CB Tommie Campbell started the second half of the Week 17 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in place of CB Alterraun Verner, as the team gave Campbell extra playing time this week and last week. "Campbell was playing already in the nickel package anyway this week," head coach Mike Munchak said. "I thought we'd give him a chance to play some more. He did a nice job. He's got a lot to learn, but he's a big guy, matches up well. He's a physical corner."
