Falcons | Practice squad filled out

The Atlanta Falcons signed S Rafael Bush, WR Kevin Cone, WR Drew Davis, OG Andrew Jackson, LB Robert James, OT Jose Valdez and QB John Parker Wilson to the practice squad Sunday, Sept. 4.

Falcons | 10 roster moves bring team down to 53 players

The Atlanta Falcons have released C Brett Romberg, S Rafael Bush, WR Kevin Cone, WR Drew Davis, G Andrew Jackson, LB Robert James, DE Emmanuel Stephens, OT Jose Valdez and QB John Parker Wilson. The team reached an injury settlement with TE Ryan Winterswyk (undisclosed).

Falcons | Pair added in the seventh round

The Atlanta Falcons had two picks in the seventh round, landing South Carolina DL Cliff Matthews and Fresno State OG Andrew Jackson. Matthews is considered a high-energy player, who needs to get stronger in the weight room. Jackson's stock slipped due to an ankle injury which wiped out nine of his games last season. Jackson has starter potential, but is not expected to crack the lineup initially.
