Oakland Raiders coach Dennis Allen said he intends to stick with QB Matt McGloin as his starting quarterback for now in remarks made at his press conference on Friday, Nov. 29. However, Allen also wants to get another look at QB Terrelle Pryor before this season ends. It is all part of Allen and general manager Reggie McKenzie gathering as much information as possible on their quarterback situation before they head into the offseason.

Sun, 17 Nov 2013 07:29:54 -0800
The Oakland Raiders coaching staff loved QB Matt McGloin, and the team's Week 11 game will be big in determining if McGloin has a shot at supplanting QB Terrelle Pryor in the future.
Fantasy Tip: Whether McGloin starts in Week 12 will have a lot to do with whether Pryor is healthy enough to return. McGloin looked good in his first career start but was aided with some short fields to work with early in the game. It'd be a rash decision to go away from Pryor at this juncture, in our opinion.
Sat, 16 Nov 2013 12:27:19 -0800
Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor (knee) is out for Week 11. QB Matt McGloin will start in his place.
Fantasy Tip: Pryor may need a couple of weeks for his sprained MCL to heal. McGloin is a former walk-on at Penn State and was signed as an undrafted free-agent. While it's quite the feel-good story that he's starting, he should not be considered for a spot on your fantasy roster.
Sat, 16 Nov 2013 08:05:46 -0800
Oakland Raiders QB Matt McGloin received all of the snaps with the first-team offense during practice Friday, Nov. 15. McGloin will start Week 11 if QB Terrelle Pryor (knee) is not ready to play.
Fri, 15 Nov 2013 13:44:16 -0800
Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor (knee) did not practice Friday, Nov. 15, and is questionable for Week 11 against the Houston Texans. QB Matt McGloin took the first-team repetitions Friday, but head coach Dennis Allen isn't ruling Pryor out. Allen also said Pryor felt worse Friday than he did while practicing Thursday, Nov. 14. Raiders beat reporters all seem to agree that it's likely McGloin will receive the start this weekend.
Fantasy Tip: To be on the safe side, stay away from Pryor in all cases this weekend. As a result, the Raiders passing game and overall offense will likely struggle against a Texans defense that is on the rise.
Thu, 14 Nov 2013 18:28:53 -0800
The Oakland Raiders are not expected to decide whether QB Terrelle Pryor (knee) or QB Matt McGloin will start Week 11 until right before game time. Offensive coordinator Greg Olson will have two game plans ready for the game.
Thu, 14 Nov 2013 16:04:04 -0800
Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor (knee) is unsure if he'll play in Week 11 against the Houston Texans despite returning to practice Thursday, Nov. 14. QB Matt McGloin took the majority of the first-team repetitions at practice. Head coach Dennis Allen thinks Pryor will start if he's cleared to play. "He got some reps with the first team and we'll see how he looks tomorrow," Allen said. "All you can do is watch practice and go with what you see on the practice field. If he looks like he's at health then he'll be ready to go."
Fantasy Tip: Pryor is an extremely risky player to rely on this week. You surely have better QB options at your disposal this week.

Tue, 12 Nov 2013 10:12:37 -0800
Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said he's concerned with QB Terrelle Pryor's (knee) sprained knee after he looked tentative in the pocket in the team's Week 10 loss to the New York Giants. Allen and the coaching staff realize that the injury is more of a concern than initially believed. Pryor was 11-for-26 for 122 yards and an interception against the Giants. "It was obvious that there wasn't that explosiveness that we had seen out of him prior to the injury," Allen said. "I'll sit down and visit with Terrelle a little bit more and find out exactly where he is physically." Allen said he never considered removing Pryor from the game, however.
Fantasy Tip: Pryor is an extremely dynamic quarterback, but only when he's able to scramble and create plays with his legs. He hasn't been able to do that now that he's hobbled, which limits his fantasy upside big time. Until we see assurance that he's close to 100 percent, it wouldn't be wise to start him.
Mon, 11 Nov 2013 09:49:07 -0800
Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor (knee) said he has a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee. "I've got a sprained MCL. It just got worse during the week. So I was just trying to come out and play and try to help the team but just didn't feel well today," he said. Pryor played with a brace on his knee in Week 10 against the New York Giants and said he couldn't push off his leg. He finished 11-for-26 for just 122 yards and an interception and fumble. He was sacked four times and ran for a career-low 19 yards. QB Matt McGloin is the only other quarterback on roster, with QB Tyler Wilson on the practice squad.
Fantasy Tip: A big part of Pryor's game comes on the ground, so an injury to his legs can be a big liability. It's probably smart to steer clear of him until his knee is close to full strength again.
Fri, 08 Nov 2013 13:42:36 -0800
Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor (knee) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 8, and is listed as probable for Week 10.
Fantasy Tip: Pryor should be considered a low-end starting fantasy quarterback this week that can be benched if an owner has a better option at the position.
Thu, 07 Nov 2013 14:18:23 -0800
Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor (knee) practiced in full Thursday, Nov. 7.
Fantasy Tip: Pryor should be fine for the contest against the New York Giants. He'll be a borderline low-end QB1 if you're hurting at the quarterback position.
Wed, 06 Nov 2013 12:17:20 -0800
Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor (knee) is participating in practice Wednesday, Nov. 6. Pryor was showing no lingering effects from a knee injury he suffered in Week 9.
Fantasy Tip: Great news for Pryor owners as this likely means he is on track to start in the team's Week 10 game. Keep an eye on practice reports the rest of the week, but plan on using him as you normally would.
Mon, 04 Nov 2013 15:44:51 -0800
Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said QB Terrelle Pryor (knee) is considered day-to-day because of the knee sprain he suffered Week 9.
Fantasy Tip: Owners should wait to see what Pryor is able to do at practice this week before finalizing their starting lineup for Week 10.
Mon, 04 Nov 2013 15:25:06 -0800
The Oakland Raiders are more worried about the injury to RB Darren McFadden (hamstring) than they are about QB Terrelle Pryor (knee), who is listed as day-to-day. "Obviously, with hamstrings, you never know, with Darren. So, probably a little more concern with Darren than there'd be with Terrelle but we'll see how both of those guys are doing in the morning and that will probably dictate what their availability is going to be on Wednesday," head coach Dennis Allen said. Pryor said his sprained right knee felt fine. McFadden has already missed one game after initially injuring his hamstring.
Fantasy Tip: DMC isn't a stranger to injuries or healing slowly from them. Don't be shocked if he's held out in Week 10. As a result, grab Rashad Jennings off the waiver wire immediately if you own McFadden or are looking for RB depth.
Sun, 03 Nov 2013 17:26:35 -0800
Updating a previous report, Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor (knee) said Sunday, Nov. 3, that he left the Week 9 game against the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth quarter as a precaution. He isn't concerned, and said the knee felt stable. Pryor will be evaluated Monday, Nov. 4.
Sun, 03 Nov 2013 16:44:11 -0800

Sun, 03 Nov 2013 15:57:56 -0800
Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor (undisclosed) left for the locker room midway through the fourth quarter of the Week 9 game against the Philadelphia Eagles due to an undisclosed reason.
Fantasy Tip: It's uncertain if Pryor suffered an injury, but with the game well out of hand it is hard to imagine he'll return to the game.
Tue, 15 Oct 2013 16:16:45 -0700
Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen is content with sticking with QB Terrelle Pryor as the quarterback of the present and future for the franchise. "I mean, I don't think he played as well as he would have liked. But again, he's still a young player. That was only his fifth start of the season. So he still has a lot growing to do and a lot of getting better to do, but he's a talented player and we're going to try and continue to build with him and try to grow with him," Allen said. The Raiders are content with Pryor as their leader and will not create competition for his job, despite his disappointing showing in Week 6 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Fantasy Tip: The Raiders realize they'll have to take the ups and downs from Pryor as he learns from his mistakes as a starting QB. You'll have to do so, too, if you own Pryor. The mistakes will be there, but his upside has shone through at moments this year. He can give you more than most other QBs can at times, too, when he scrambles out of the pocket and creates plays.
Thu, 10 Oct 2013 11:45:51 -0700
Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor plans to work with quarterback guru Tom House when the team is off in Week 7 to improve his throwing mechanics and to ensure that he won't regress. "His ability to escape, if the protection does break down, has been key for our offense," head coach Dennis Allen said. "Because at times, I don't care who you are, at times the protection's going to break down. And when it does, he's got the ability to make something and create something, and for the most part, it's been positive for us when he's been able to do that."
Wed, 09 Oct 2013 20:59:33 -0700
Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor has posted a passer rating of 97.6, which ranks behind only Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning, Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo, San Diego Chargers QB Philip Rivers, New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees, Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers and Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan. His completion percentage of 68.3 trails only Manning, Rivers, Romo, Brees and Ryan, and he has a 72.7 completion percentage in the pocket, which is fourth-best in the NFL. "His mechanics have really improved," head coach Dennis Allen said Wednesday, Oct. 9. "He's got a good presence in the pocket, yet can get out and make plays. He's always been a great athlete, but he's getting better as a quarterback."
Fantasy Tip: Pryor has emerged as a low-end No. 1 fantasy option in most leagues of 12 or more teams. He has surprised more than any other fantasy quarterback to this point, as far as success. There are plenty who have surprised by being disappointing.
Sun, 06 Oct 2013 07:28:28 -0700
If the Oakland Raiders sign free agent QB Josh Freeman (Buccaneers), he would assume the starting role over QB Terrelle Pryor.
Fri, 04 Oct 2013 14:03:39 -0700
Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor (concussion) practiced in full Friday, Oct. 4, and is probable for Week 5.
Fantasy Tip: Pryor's matchup against the San Diego Chargers is a very good one, and he makes for a nice bye week filler at the quarterback position.
Thu, 03 Oct 2013 16:50:47 -0700
Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor (concussion) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 3.

Wed, 02 Oct 2013 13:32:12 -0700
Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor (concussion) practiced with the first team offense Wednesday, Oct. 2. Pryor had no issues.
Fantasy Tip: It is great news for Pryor’s fantasy owners that he got through practice with the first team without issues Wednesday. This is still something to keep an eye on all the way up to kickoff, as Pryor was a late scratch in Week 4.
Mon, 30 Sep 2013 20:23:52 -0700
Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said Monday, Sept. 30, he was comfortable with the decision to sit QB Terrelle Pryor (concussion) for an extra week, and Pryor won't be allowed to play until he is 100 percent. "He's got to be symptom free," Allen said, "whenever that point is. And we're going to continue to monitor him until he's symptom free."
Mon, 30 Sep 2013 10:41:40 -0700
Oakland Raiders QB Matt Flynn fumbled twice, threw a crucial interception and was sacked seven times in the team's Week 4 loss to the Washington Redskins. It was the most sacks for a Raiders quarterback since 2006. "I don't think he saw the field very well," head coach Dennis Allen said. "Matt didn't play well, and we have to move on." Flynn led the offense to just nine first downs in the last 48 minutes of the game.
Fantasy Tip: It's clear that Flynn won't get another shot at starting at QB if Terrelle Pryor (concussion) is healthy and ready to go. We fully expect Pryor to play in Week 5, unless he suffers another setback.

Sun, 29 Sep 2013 08:24:22 -0700
Updating a previous report, the Oakland Raiders told their players that QB Matt Flynn will start Week 4 instead of QB Terrelle Pryor (concussion).
Fantasy Tip: There have been conflicting reports about which quarterback will start for the Raiders will be Week 4. Owners will have to wait for the inactive list to see if Pryor will be playing in the game.
Sun, 29 Sep 2013 06:03:19 -0700
Oakland Raiders QB Matt Flynn is expected to start, although there is some uncertainty over whether Flynn or QB Terrelle Pryor (concussion) will get the start. Flynn has been preparing to play all week while Pryor worked his way back from the concussion.
Fantasy Tip: With this being a late game, it is tough to count on either player with the conflicting reports out there, especially if you have an option playing in an early game. If there are other options out there for you, it may be safer to go in that direction.
Fri, 27 Sep 2013 21:05:02 -0700

Fri, 27 Sep 2013 15:37:42 -0700
Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor (concussion) was limited in practice Friday, Sept. 27, and is questionable for Week 4.
Fantasy Tip: Pryor now has a shot to start against the Washington Redskins this weekend. We should know by tomorrow whether that'll happen after he goes through one more concussion test. If he plays, he's a decent bye week filler against a struggling Redskins D.
Fri, 27 Sep 2013 13:34:34 -0700
Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor (concussion) increased his workload in practice Friday, Sept. 27, and is listed as questionable for Week 4 against the Washington Redskins. Head coach Dennis Allen said he's happy with Pryor's progress and isn't ruling him out just yet. Pryor has been cleared to play, as well. Pryor has passed all the league-mandated tests for concussions and will be tested one more time Saturday, Sept. 28. If he checks out, he will play Sunday, Sept. 29.
Fantasy Tip: If you were planning on using Pryor as a bye week filler for Aaron Rodgers or Cam Newton, don't abandon that plan just yet. We should know one way or another before Sunday's game whether Pryor will start. Have a backup plan hand, however.

Oakland Raiders QB Matt Flynn took all of the first-team repetitions in practice Wednesday, Sept. 25, with QB Terrelle Pryor (concussion) sitting out. Pryor has been cleared for meetings and physical activity, but not practice.
Fantasy Tip: There's a decent chance that Pryor won't be cleared to play this weekend. If he does, however, he has a very nice matchup against a weak Washington Redskins defense. Keep tabs on Pryor's status throughout the week and up until game time Sunday.
Wed, 25 Sep 2013 11:27:32 -0700
