Browns | Terrelle Pryor has limited practice

Mon, 07 Nov 2016 15:43:07 -0800

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (hamstring) was limited in practice Monday, Nov. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor was bothered by his hamstring last week, too, but still ended up playing, and playing well. He may not see as many targets going forward with Corey Coleman back in the mix, but he remains a WR2 as far as the rest of the season is concerned. He should be started this week, assuming he plays, against a Baltimore Ravens defense that has yielded 14 touchdowns to wide receivers this year -- most in the NFL.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor gets in full practice

Fri, 04 Nov 2016 13:27:59 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (hamstring) was able to practice in full Friday, Nov. 4.

Fantasy Tip: This should ensure that he's able to suit up for Week 9 versus the Cowboys. Even with rookie Corey Coleman expected to return, Pryor should still remain a high-volume player in Cleveland's offense, especially given their matchup this week. The Browns will probably be trailing the whole game, which means they'll be throwing a lot more times than not. Don't be surprised, though, if his overall production drops a tick in the coming weeks.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor is coming off a 100-yard game in Week 8 and should have a solid chance to play in Week 9. He is one of the team's top targets in the passing game and should be a fine No. 3 receiver for owners if he plays.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor hits century mark

Sun, 30 Oct 2016 19:00:55 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (hamstring) posted six catches for a game-high 101 yards in the Week 8 against the New York Jets. Pryor was targeted 13 times.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor was targeted early and often by Josh McCown, and the two had outstanding rapport considering how long the QB has been sidelined. Pryor showed no signs of the hamstring injury which limited him in practice earlier in the week, and he has five or more grabs in five of the past six outings. He remains a must-start in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor piling up targets

Sat, 29 Oct 2016 18:11:39 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor's 63 targets this year put him in the top 15 in the NFL and are 23 more than any other Cleveland player.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor has gone from a project to a No. 1 receiver in no time, and he has WR2 upside in Week 8 against a struggling New York Jets pass defense.

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor said he has "looked up" to New York Jets CB Darrelle Revis since he was in high school and has been waiting to play against Revis for a long time.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor gets in full practice

Fri, 28 Oct 2016 12:41:44 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (hamstring) practiced in full Friday, Oct. 28, and is not on the injury report for Week 8.

Fantasy Tip: After a pair of limited practices, Pryor was able to get in a full session, which bodes well for his status in Sunday's plus matchup opposite the New York Jets. Although he's coming off his worst performance of the season, Pryor is still worth plugging in most lineups as a comfortable WR3. Prior to last week's lackluster line, the former Oakland Raider had averaged nearly 10 targets per game. Additionally, Cleveland's passing game should ideally get a boost overall with veteran Josh McCown back under center.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor limited Thursday

Thu, 27 Oct 2016 14:37:46 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (hamstring) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 27.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor was limited last week, too, and ended up playing. He didn't play very well, but he played. The New York Jets, Pryor's Week 8 opponent, have been flat out bad against the pass this year. Pryor could be due for a rebound with the plus matchup and with Josh McCown returning. Look for updates on his status, but start him as a WR2 for now.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor quiet in Week 7

Sun, 23 Oct 2016 13:54:29 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor caught two passes for 18 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: It is not known if Pryor's hamstring injury limited him or if the team's quarterback situation was the reason for disappointing performance. Pryor can still be considered a No. 3 receiver or a flex option in some leagues, but his value will depend on the team's starting quarterback.

Sun, 23 Oct 2016 08:21:31 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (hamstring) is active for the team's Week 7 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor has been dealing with a hamstring injury but likely will have a normal workload this week. He is the team's No. 1 receiver and should see a solid amount of targets. Owners in most leagues should consider Pryor as a No. 3 receiver.

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (hamstring) is expected to play in Week 7's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, barring a last-minute setback, according to a source.

Fri, 21 Oct 2016 14:19:44 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 21, and is listed as questionable for Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor appears to be a game-time decision, so owners will need to check the inactive list to see if he will play. Pryor will be the team's top receiver if he plays and can be a No. 3 receiver for owners, but they will need other options ready in case he is ruled out.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor has a shot to play Week 7

Fri, 21 Oct 2016 13:52:29 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (hamstring) has "a chance" to play Week 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to head coach Hue Jackson.

Fantasy Tip: Jackson stated Thursday he has "been dying" to give Rashard Higgins more playing time and said "obviously we will see more of Rashard this week, so it's fair to expect Pryor to be limited if he is active. If Pryor is inactive, look for Gary Barnidge to take on a primary role in the passing game, while Higgins, Andrew Hawkins and perhaps Ricardo Louis vie for snaps at receiver. Only Barnidge is worth a start in fantasy this week.

Thu, 20 Oct 2016 09:28:57 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (hamstring) is not participating in practice Thursday, Oct. 20.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor's status for Week 7 is uncertain at this point, so owners will need to keep an eye on the situation. Pryor has become the Browns' top target in the passing game and has been targeted at least nine times in four of the last five games. He should be a No. 3 receiver if is active, but owners will need other options ready in case he misses the game.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor vows to play Week 7

Wed, 19 Oct 2016 19:00:57 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (hamstring) said Wednesday, Oct. 19, that he vows to do everything in his power to play in the Week 7 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, the team that cut him last summer. Pryor said he would be staying late at the team's headquarters throughout this week to rehab his injury.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor leads the team in catches, receiving yards and touchdown receptions. If Pryor is unable to play it would be Andrew Hawkins and Ricardo Louis starting at receiver. Wait until Friday to make a decision on Pryor for your fantasy lineup. If he can practice in full, he will be a decent fantasy option.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor suffers hamstring injury

Mon, 17 Oct 2016 12:01:44 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (hamstring) sustained a hamstring injury during a Week 6 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Head coach Hue Jackson said the team will "see how it goes" throughout the week in regards to his status for Week 7 versus the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fantasy Tip: It's almost as if any Brown who has taken snaps at quarterback this season is destined to get hurt. Pryor had a huge day with nine catches for 75 yards and two touchdowns versus the Titans, but owners want to monitor the situation this week in order to determine whether or not he can be started against the Bengals. If this turns out to a minor issue, Pryor has proven he can be trusted as a WR3 with WR2 upside.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor has decent day

Sun, 16 Oct 2016 15:05:29 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor caught nine passes for 75 yards and scored twice in a 28-26 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Oct. 16.

Fantasy Tip: If Pryor can't be a quarterback, it looks like he'll make a fine wide receiver. Pryor has bigger fantasy value because of his ability to play multiple spots, but for now chalk him up as a decent receiver to stash away.

Browns | Charlie Whitehursst limps off

Sun, 09 Oct 2016 12:56:59 -0700

Cleveland Browns QB Charlie Whitehurst (undisclosed) limped off the field during the team's Week 5 game after suffering an undisclosed injury. WR Terrelle Pryor replaced Whitehurst at quarterback.

Fantasy Tip: Owners will need to keep an eye on the Browns quarterback situation because Whitehurst and Cody Kessler were injured in Week 5. The team likely will bring in at least one quarterback if the injuries are serious, but owners in all leagues probably should avoid whoever starts for Cleveland.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor seeing plenty of targets

Tue, 27 Sep 2016 13:01:10 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor is seventh among wide receivers with 31 targets so far this season. He was targeted 14 times in Week 3 alone.

Fantasy Tip: Last week's numbers definitely gave Pryor's stat line an influx, but those numbers can't be ignored, especially with Cody Kessler remaining the starter for now. Pryor's targets are bound to decrease when Josh Gordon returns, but there already seems to be a level of trust between Kessler and Pryor. If Pryor is available, he's a top waiver wire option and a nice start this week against a Washington Redskins defense that has allowed 682 yards and four touchdowns to receivers this year.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor does it all in OT loss

Sun, 25 Sep 2016 18:45:57 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor posted eight receptions for 144 yards on 14 targets in the Week 3 game against the Miami Dolphins. He also ran four times for 21 yards and a touchdown while completing three of five pass attempts for 35 yards. He was the first Cleveland player since 1977 to have multiple receptions, rushes and passes in the same game.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor gave the team a different look under center, as he occasionally spelled rookie Cody Kessler, who was making his first NFL start. Pryor will be a very hot selection off the waiver wire this week, as he appears to be a big part of Cleveland's plans going forward.

Fri, 16 Sep 2016 14:57:16 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Sept. 16, and is not on the injury report.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor full go

Thu, 15 Sep 2016 13:55:22 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (shoulder) was a full practice participant Thursday, Sept. 15.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor's full potential is limited by a subpart offense. It's unclear how involved he'll be with Josh McCown at the helm now, so it might be best to wait at least a week before plugging Pryor into a starting role.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor takes part in practice

Wed, 14 Sep 2016 13:02:45 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (shoulder) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Sept. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor should be able to play in Week 2 but will have a new quarterback throwing to him. He led the team in targets in Week 1 and finished with three catches for 68 yards. Pryor should continue to be one of the team's main targets but probably should only be considered a flex option in most leagues.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor no fluke

Sun, 21 Aug 2016 18:26:22 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor will continue to make big plays and score touchdowns during the regular season, according to beat writer Mary Kay Cabot, who noted Pryor beat Pro Bowl CB Desmond Trufant for a 50-yard against the Atlanta Falcons in the preseason.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor is still raw, but his size and speed make him great late-round pick. He will probably be a boom-or-bust option in the early weeks, but he should only improve as the year goes on.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor catches long score

Thu, 18 Aug 2016 20:49:17 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor had one catch, a 50-yard touchdown, in a 24-13 loss to the Atlanta Falcons Thursday, Aug. 18.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor's big-play ability was evident, but he will likely be a boom-or-bust option for fantasy owners. He is a high-upside player to grab in the later rounds, and he will be an attractive DFS sleeper, especially in GPPs.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor able to practice

Mon, 15 Aug 2016 14:26:11 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (hand) fully participated in practice Monday, Aug. 15, even though he aggravated a hand injury Sunday, Aug. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor has performed well during training camp and appears to be on track to start at wide receiver while Josh Gordon is suspended. He has limited playing time at the position but could still be a late-round option in some deeper fantasy leagues.

Fri, 12 Aug 2016 21:42:50 -0700

Updating a previous report, Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor's (hand) X-rays on his left hand were negative, and he said his hand feels fine.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor flashed his big-play ability in Cleveland's preseason opener, but his production will likely fluctuate wildly from one game to the next. He is a late-round lottery ticket in deeper leagues.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor injures hand

Fri, 12 Aug 2016 20:24:37 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (hand) was headed for an X-ray on his left hand following a 17-11 preseason loss to the Green Bay Packers Friday, Aug. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Stay tuned for updates on Pryor's health. He has the size and athleticism to make big plays, but he is unlikely to show the consistency needed to be a useful fantasy player. At best, he will be an all-or-nothing option in daily formats this season.

Fri, 12 Aug 2016 14:31:03 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (calf) is expected to play in the preseason game against the Green Bay Packers Friday, Aug. 12, even though he dealt with a calf injury earlier in the week.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor probably will receive limited snaps against the Packers, but it is a good sign that he is able to get on the field. Pryor has a chance to have a decent role in the passing game this season and could be a late-round option in deeper leagues.

Wed, 10 Aug 2016 15:04:14 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor (calf) should be able to play in the preseason game against the Green Bay Packers Friday, Aug. 12.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor probably will see limited snaps against the Packers because of the injury. Pryor has a chance to be a solid option in the passing game if he performs well during the preseason. Pryor could be a late-round option in deeper leagues or a waiver wire pickup early in the season if he plays well.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor the No. 2 WR in Cleveland?

Sun, 07 Aug 2016 15:20:53 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor is the team's No. 2 receiver heading into the preseason, according to ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi.

Fantasy Tip: While he might only be keeping the seat warm for Josh Gordon after his four-game suspension comes to an end, Pryor is apparently in line to start opposite rookie Corey Coleman for now. The former quarterback isn't worth a selection in most redraft leagues quite yet, but he makes sense as an investment in deeper dynasty leagues given Gordon's off-field history.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor delivers in scrimmage

Sat, 06 Aug 2016 20:23:12 -0700

Cleveland Browns QB Terrelle Pryor caught a pair of touchdowns, including a 75-yard score, during a scrimmage Saturday, Aug. 6, and head coach Hue Jackson said Pryor is making the most of his opportunity to play receiver.

Fantasy Tip: It remains to be seen if Pryor can produce when it counts, but his size and athleticism are intriguing. You could do worse if you are taking a flier on a high-upside player in the final round of a draft.

Browns | Cleveland has plays for Terrelle Pryor

Sat, 23 Jul 2016 07:45:06 -0700

Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson has drawn up plays to get the ball into WR Terrelle Pryor's hands and allow him to run in the open field.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor has caught only two passes in his career for 64 yards but should be more involved in the offense this season. Pryor probably should not be selected in most fantasy leagues but could be a waiver wire option during the season.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor needs to prove himself

Sat, 25 Jun 2016 20:50:48 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor has made progress as a receiver, but the coaches want him to produce in contact drills when he is being covered tightly.

Fantasy Tip: It remains to be seen if Pryor can transition from quarterback and become a productive receiver, but his size and athleticism and the lack of established receivers in Cleveland make him worth a flier in the final rounds in deeper rounds.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor improving

Fri, 10 Jun 2016 13:00:45 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor has made significant improvement at wide receiver this offseason, according to wide receivers coach Al Saunders. Pryor still has some work to do, but the team is optimistic that he can produce at receiver.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor should have a solid chance to play this season since the team does not have many veteran options at receiver. Owners should watch him during the preseason to see how he plays because he could be a late-round option in deeper leagues if he plays well.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor much improved

Thu, 26 May 2016 12:07:51 -0700

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor said he is much improved as a receiver compared to where he was last year. "(I'm) 10 times (better than last year)," Pryor said after an OTA practice. "I look at the film and it amazes me, and I give that to (receivers coach Al) Saunders, because just sitting there and doing the extra meeting time with him and him really breaking down certain routes to me and how he wants them run, it's awesome." At 6-4, Pryor towers over most cornerbacks. He's playing with confidence in practices and is showing full effort.

Fantasy Tip: With Cleveland's wide receiver depth chart unsettled everywhere, Pryor could carve out a nice role in the passing game, especially since he has history with head coach Hue Jackson from their days in Oakland. However, with Robert Griffin a question mark at QB, Pryor's fantasy upside is on shaky ground. Consider him a WR5 flyer in deeper leagues.

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor has flashed his skills and athleticism in practice the past few days in organized team activities, and head coach Hue Jackson said Pryor is working hard and getting better every day.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor is on the right team to be put in a situation to succeed, but he's still learning and growing at wide receiver. It could take some time for him to become fantasy relevant. He's only worth drafting as a late-round flier.
