Browns | Johnny Manziel to start if cleared

Wed, 30 Dec 2015 10:16:51 -0800

Cleveland Browns QB Johnny Manziel (concussion) will start in Week 17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers if he's cleared to play while in the concussion protocol. If Manziel can't go, QB Austin Davis would make his second start of the year ahead of QB Terrelle Pryor.

Fantasy Tip: Keep an eye on Manziel's ($4,700, 9.4% of cap) progress in the next few days. If he looks good to play, he could be a deep sleeper worth considering on FantasyScore. The Steelers secondary is a big concern, and they made Ryan Mallett look great in Week 16. Plus, Manziel can make things happen with his legs, too.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor developing chemistry

Fri, 18 Dec 2015 18:09:49 -0800

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor has impressed the team with the chemistry he has developed with QB Johnny Manziel in practice.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is expected to have a bigger role in the offense with Brian Hartline out of the year, but a road matchup with Seattle is not the time to take a chance on him at FantasyScore.

Browns | Dwayne Bowe continues to fall

Wed, 16 Dec 2015 10:20:01 -0800

Cleveland Browns WR Dwayne Bowe was a healthy scratch again in Week 14 and has just three catches for 31 yards on the season in five games. He has played roughly 38 snaps the entire season and has barely been targeted. Bowe said he is still confident in his abilities when he's on the field. "Of course I can still play," said Bowe. "I show it every day in practice. I feel like if they put me in there and threw the ball to me, I would've made big plays." Bowe could see some time in Week 15 against the Seattle Seahawks, but head coach Mike Pettine said WR Terrelle Pryor will have a bigger role. WR Taylor Gabriel (concussion) could be ready to return, too, which could push Bowe to inactive again. Bowe thinks he was never able to catch up with the team's playbook after pulling his hamstring in training camp with offensive coordinator John DeFilippo installing a new scheme.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor to see more time

Tue, 15 Dec 2015 09:50:48 -0800

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor will see more playing time with WR Brian Hartline (collarbone) out for the year. Pryor played 16 snaps in Week 14, but he wasn't targeted once by QB Johnny Manziel.

Fantasy Tip: Despite an increase in playing time for Pryor ($2,000, 4.0% of cap), he'll be no more than a really deep daily sleeper pick. The matchup against the Seattle Seahawks on the road is a terrible one, too.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor plays 16 snaps

Mon, 14 Dec 2015 05:37:14 -0800

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor played 16 snaps Sunday, Dec. 13, in Week 14.

Fantasy Tip: Pryor could be a sneaky daily play as he integrates into the offense, but it likely won't be against the Seattle Seahawks next weekend.

Browns | Terrelle Pryor could play

Wed, 09 Dec 2015 09:25:09 -0800

Cleveland Browns WR Terrelle Pryor could be active for the Week 14 game against the San Francisco 49ers, according to head coach Mike Pettine. Pettine said Pryor signed in great shape and retained a lot of the offense.

Fantasy Tip: It's probably a stretch for Pryor ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) to be a worthwhile basement option on FantasyScore.
