Terrelle Pryor Fantasy Football News, Notes, Rumors and Statistics
News | Statistics | Player vs. Team | Utilization | Injury History | Depth Chart | Team Roster
Wed, 12 Jun 2013 17:19:18 -0700 Oakland Raiders QBs Matt Flynn, Tyler Wilson, Terrelle Pryor and Matt McGloin didn't fare well at their minicamp Tuesday, June 11. Many of their throws were batted down at the line of scrimmage, landed behind and over receivers, and were generally off the mark. No option distinguished himself from the others. Pryor said that since defenders weren't wearing pads, they were more upright, which made it easier to bat down throws. Fantasy Tip: Steve Corkran called their minicamp showing "one of the worst in memory" over his 19 years covering the NFL. Whoever wins this battle won't be more than a low-range QB2. It could be a long season for Denarius Moore and the rest of the receiving options.
Mon, 03 Jun 2013 14:34:42 -0700 Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said QB Terrelle Pryor has made progress this offseason but still has things he needs to improve on. "There's been no lack of effort on his part," Allen said. "Still, when you look at it, the quarterback position, he's still young in the position and there's still a lot of improvement he needs to make. He's got a great athletic skillset, but still some of the finer points about playing quarterback are still what he needs to continue to get better at."
Fri, 03 May 2013 06:34:39 -0700 Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie acknowledged QB Matt Flynn heads into offseason workouts as the "presumed starter." The Raiders are skeptical QB Terrelle Pryor is ready to truly push for the starting job, while QB Tyler Wilson will start out "at the bottom until he can maneuver his way up by his play."
Wed, 01 May 2013 19:27:44 -0700 Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie likes the ability of QB Tyler Wilson to "move around the pocket and toughness to hang in there and see the field." Wilson isn't expected to initially compete for the starting job, or even the primary backup job to either QBs Matt Flynn or Terrelle Pryor, but he could eventually start at some point down the round. "I want him to learn the playbook first," McKenzie said, "make sure he gets behind the center and not the guard." Fantasy Tip: Wilson struggled in 2012 after head coach Bobby Petrino was fired at the University of Arkansas, as Wilson's numbers were down across the board. Still, he is viewed as having a decent arm and he has an ability to throw on the run. He is a prospect, and not worth drafting except in the deepest of long-term keeper fantasy formats.
Tue, 23 Apr 2013 06:48:15 -0700 There is a good chance the Oakland Raiders will take a quarterback with one of their seven selections in the NFL Draft, with only QBs Matt Flynn and Terrelle Pryor currently on the roster. However, they are not expected to use the No. 3 overall selection on a quarterback.
Mon, 01 Apr 2013 11:45:41 -0700 Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie indicated QB Matt Flynn will have to compete with QB Terrelle Pryor for the starting quarterback job next season. Fantasy Tip: Neither Flynn nor Pryor has much playing experience, but Flynn could have an early advantage in the competition because he has been in the league longer. No matter which one wins the job, they should be considered weak No. 2 or No. 3 quarterbacks in fantasy leagues.
Fri, 29 Mar 2013 10:46:54 -0700 Oakland Raiders QB Carson Palmer may have taken his last snap with the team. The team could trade for QB Matt Flynn, pick a quarterback with their first-round draft pick, or start QB Terrelle Pryor.
Thu, 28 Mar 2013 06:01:06 -0700 Although Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie has shown public support for QB Terrelle Pryor, there is much organizational skepticism about the quarterback.
Wed, 20 Mar 2013 13:39:09 -0700 Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said the starting quarterback job is QB Carson Palmer's to lose this offseason but that he will have to compete with QB Terrelle Pryor for the job. Fantasy Tip: Palmer has the experience advantage over Pryor and that could help him hold off Pryor for the starting job. If Palmer holds onto the job, he should be seen as a mid-range No. 2 fantasy quarterback in 2013
Fri, 08 Mar 2013 12:28:31 -0800 The Oakland Raiders may release QB Carson Palmer this offseason if he does not agree to take a pay cut. The Raiders could go with QB Terrelle Pryor and a quarterback they select in the draft.
