Updating previous reports, Milwaukee Brewers 1B/OF Eric Thames (thumb) will be sidelined for six to eight weeks after undergoing successful surgery to repair the torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb Friday, April 27. The procedure was performed by Dr. Donald Sheridan in Arizona.
