Kansas City Royals hitting coach Kevin Seitzer was dismissed Thursday, Oct. 4, after serving as the hitting coach for four seasons. The rest of the team's coaching staff will return intact next season. Manager Ned Yost would like to stay within the organization for the successor to Seitzer.

Kansas City Royals hitting coach Kevin Seitzer, infield coach Eddie Rodriguez, bullpen coach Steve Foster and outfield/baserunning coach Doug Sisson will return for the 2012 season.
