Sun, 04 Dec 2016 09:26:59 -0800

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken (thigh) is officially active for the team's Week 13 game.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken misses practice

Wed, 30 Nov 2016 13:58:24 -0800

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken (thigh) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken has been a victim of too many mouths to feed in Baltimore. Mike Wallace, Steve Smith, Breshad Perriman and Dennis Pitta have all aided in the destruction of Aiken's fantasy value. For those not in deeper leagues, it's probably safe to drop him.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken may start

Sat, 22 Oct 2016 12:50:25 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken probably will start at wide receiver in Week 7 if WR Steve Smith (ankle) is not able to play.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken has recorded only 92 receiving yards this season but did post 64 yards in Week 6. He should receive a decent amount of targets against the New York Jets, but owners should be able to find better options to use in their lineups.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken questionable

Sat, 22 Oct 2016 06:50:54 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken (thigh) is listed as questionable for Week 7's game against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken was a full participant in practice Friday, Oct. 21, after being limited earlier in the week, so he should be good to go Sunday. However, he should not be viewed as a viable fantasy option in seasonal leagues with 14 or fewer teams, even though WR Steve Smith (ankle) is not expected to play.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken targeted six times

Sun, 16 Oct 2016 17:19:50 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken posted four receptions for a season-best 64 yards in the Week 6 game against the New York Giants. He was targeted six times.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken entered the game with just six grabs for 28 yards. He was used more frequently in this one with Steve Smith sideline again, but he is still only worth a look in the very deepest of fantasy formats at this point. Fantasy owners in leagues of 14 or fewer teams need not bother with him.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken's role changing?

Fri, 16 Sep 2016 19:41:16 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken played 53 percent of the offensive snaps and 16 snaps on special teams in Week 1 after playing nearly 83 percent of offensive snaps and just 14 total snaps on special teams in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Improved depth at the receiver spot will make it tough for Aiken to duplicate his 75-catch campaign from last season. The Browns represent a juicy matchup in Week 2, but Aiken is still a shot-in-the-dark play.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken gets into the end zone

Sat, 20 Aug 2016 22:19:43 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken cashed in his only reception in the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 20, against the Indianapolis Colts for a 14-yard touchdown.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken is expected to serve as the starter opposite Steve Smith once everyone is healthy and the games start to count for real. He should be treated as a WR4 in most standard fantasy formats.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken's numbers could suffer

Thu, 18 Aug 2016 21:49:05 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken had 25 catches for 333 yards in eight games with WR Steve Smith last year, and Aiken had 50 catches for 611 yards in the eight games Smith missed.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken is a popular fantasy sleeper, but if Smith and Breshad Perriman stay healthy, Aiken could struggle to make an impact. He is worth a late-round grab, but don't overpay.

Ravens | Uneven practice for Kamar Aiken

Sat, 30 Jul 2016 17:29:59 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken dropped a couple of passes during practice Friday, July 29, but he also caught a couple of deep passes, including a long touchdown.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken is currently leading the Baltimore receiving corps thanks to all the injuries, but by the time Week 1 rolls around, there is a good chance he won't be a starter. He is worth a look in the late rounds, but Aiken could struggle to make a consistent fantasy impact.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken signs tender

Mon, 18 Apr 2016 06:46:06 -0700

Baltimore Ravens restricted free-agent WR Kamar Aiken signed his tender Monday, April 18.

Fantasy Tip: Injuries opened a big role for Aiken last season, and he put up a 75-944-5 line. The addition of Mike Wallace and the returns of Steve Smith (Achilles') and Breshad Perriman (knee) could trump Aiken's role on the team. For now, he's a WR4 that could have room for more.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken has second-round tender

Tue, 08 Mar 2016 09:12:59 -0800

Baltimore Ravens restricted free-agent WR Kamar Aiken received a second-round tender from the club worth $2.55 million.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken delivered a 75-944-5 line as injuries decimated the Ravens in 2015. He didn't display a lot of big-play ability, though, and only topped 100 yards once. If Steve Smith returns from his Achilles' injury and can continue to make plays, Aiken could be a dependable WR3 in fantasy.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken should return to Baltimore

Tue, 26 Jan 2016 14:21:18 -0800

Baltimore Ravens impending free-agent WR Kamar Aiken is expected to be re-signed this offseason, according to Clifton Brown of CSNMidAtlantic.com.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken is a restricted free agent, so the Ravens will be able to match any offer Aiken receivers from other teams. It would be no surprise to Aiken return to the Ravens after a stellar 2015 season in which he filled in splendidly for Steve Smith. Smith and Aiken would make a nice 1-2 wide receiver punch in Baltimore, but they should only be viewed as a WR3 and WR4, respectively.

Ravens | Baltimore wants to add receiver

Thu, 21 Jan 2016 15:04:09 -0800

Baltimore Ravens WRs Steve Smith, Kamar Aiken, Breshad Perriman and others may have more company next season. General manager Ozzie Newsome said the Ravens have to add depth at wide receiver this offseason, whether it be through the NFL Draft or through free agency.

Fantasy Tip: Unless it's a big-name free agent that joins the Ravens, it's likely that Smith and Aiken will maintain their positions as the top two wide receivers in Baltimore. Perriman has yet to show his full potential after being injured for the better part of his rookie season, but he could come onto the scene in 2016.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken has coming out season

Mon, 18 Jan 2016 12:22:45 -0800

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken finished the 2015 season with 75 catches for 944 yards and five touchdowns. They were all career-highs.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken was called upon early and often in Baltimore's offense after Steve Smith suffered a season-ending injury. Smith is expected to return next season, so Aiken's value will likely take a hit, but he's still not a bad low-end WR3 to high-end WR4 option.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken could set franchise record

Wed, 30 Dec 2015 12:32:03 -0800

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken needs five catches to pass Derrick Mason for the most consecutive five-catch games in one season for the Ravens. Mason had eight such games in 2007.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken ($6,100, 12.2%$ of cap) has come on strong since Steve Smith was injured and out for the season. He is Baltimore's undisputed No. 1 receiving threat, and really their only reliable option in the passing game. He needs 132 receiving yards this week to attain 1,000 receiving yards on the season. He does have a tougher matchup versus the Cincinnati Bengals, but he's still worth a spot on FantasyScore as a WR2.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken over 100 yards

Sun, 20 Dec 2015 15:12:42 -0800

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken caught eight passes for 128 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown pass, in a 34-14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken ($4,600, 9.2% of cap) posted encouraging numbers, which makes you wonder if Clausen might go to Aiken as much next week. That's a trap fantasy owners often fall into, but consider this. Aiken caught eight passes and over 100 yards against a solid Kansas City defense.

Ravens | Season high for Kamar Aiken

Sun, 13 Dec 2015 18:50:58 -0800

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken finished with five catches for a season-high 90 yards in a 35-6 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 14.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken is the closest thing the Ravens have to a No. 1 receiver these days, and he is a safe bet for a handful of catches and 50-plus receiving yards.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken steps up production

Mon, 30 Nov 2015 21:55:26 -0800

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken posted six receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown in the Week 12 game against the Cleveland Browns. He was targeted 10 times.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken stepped up in the role as No. 1 receiver for Baltimore, jelling rather nicely with veteran Matt Schaub. Still, Aiken is nothing more than a low-end WR3 or flex option salary saver in Week 13 heading into Miami.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken heavily targeted

Mon, 16 Nov 2015 14:12:08 -0800

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken was targeted 14 times by QB Joe Flacco on their Week 10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fantasy Tip: With Steve Smith lost for the rest of the season, Aiken is now Baltimore's No. 1 receiver, and he should be a good bet for double-digit targets in most of the remaining games. That should make Aiken at least flex-worthy in most fantasy formats.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken suffers minor injury

Sun, 15 Nov 2015 13:45:05 -0800

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken (knee) suffered a sprained right knee during the team's Week 10 game but was able to return.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken has become of the team's No. 1 receiver because of injuries and should be targeted often over the next several weeks. Aiken could be a decent option on FantasyScore against certain opponents.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken quiet again

Tue, 27 Oct 2015 06:24:46 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken caught one pass for six yards in the Week 7 game against the Arizona Cardinals. Aiken has recorded 22 receiving yards or fewer in four games this season.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken has been one of the starting wide receivers this season but has not done much on the field. Owners can avoid him moving forward even though he probably will keep his starting job.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken shut down in second half

Sun, 11 Oct 2015 18:56:54 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken had four catches for 78 yards in a 33-30 loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 5, but he had one catch four five yards over the final three quarters.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) started fast but quickly became a non-factor. He has some value as long as Steve Smith remains sidelined, but even as the No. 1 option in the passing game, he is a roll-of-the-dice play at FantasyScore.

Ravens | Steve Smith could play?

Tue, 06 Oct 2015 06:43:55 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Steve Smith (back) is day to day and hasn't been ruled out for Week 5, according to WR Kamar Aiken.

Fantasy Tip: Smith ($6,900, 13.8% of cap) wouldn't be a good play against the Cleveland Browns on FantasyScore. Aiken ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) could be a flyer worth making in his place, however.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken has good game

Mon, 21 Sep 2015 14:36:40 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken hauled in five receptions for 89 yards in a Week 2 loss to the Oakland Raiders. He had just one catch for minus one yard in Week 1.

Fantasy Tip: This could be the kind of outing that propels Aiken into fantasy relevance. He certainly looks like Baltimore's No. 2 wide receiver after his Week 2 performance. Of course, the Ravens won't pass as much every week as they did in Week 2, but Aiken deserves to be claimed if he's on waivers in your league.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken does not produce in Week 1

Mon, 14 Sep 2015 11:47:55 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken caught one pass for minus one yard in the team's Week 1 game against the Denver Broncos.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken entered the season as the No. 2 receiver but could lose some playing time if he does not play better in upcoming weeks. Fantasy owners probably should avoid Aiken for the time being.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken expected to start

Tue, 08 Sep 2015 20:38:15 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken is expected to start in Week 1 against the Denver Broncos opposite WR Steve Smith Jr. as long as WR Breshad Perriman (knee) is sidelined.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken has some WR4 or flex potential in standard fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams. Aiken ($2,000, 4.0% of cap) is also a bargain for FantasyScore players if he starts, freeing up plenty of salary to allocate elsewhere.

Ravens | Two Baltimore WRs absent

Sat, 15 Aug 2015 12:21:16 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WRs Marlon Brown (back, hamstring) and Kamar Aiken (undisclosed) did not practice Saturday, Aug. 15.

Fantasy Tip: It's unclear how long Brown and Aiken will be out of commission, but it doesn't sound like the injuries are serious. Brown and Aiken will compete with rookie Breshad Perriman, with all three of them playing behind Steve Smith. Brown and Aiken should both be viewed as a WR5.

Ravens | Breshad Perriman not too far behind

Mon, 10 Aug 2015 16:44:10 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Breshad Perriman (knee) has yet to practice with the team in training camp, but offensive coordinator Marc Trestman doesn't think Perriman's absence will set him back from learning the offense. Head coach John Harbaugh said Perriman is "getting closer" to returning, and he didn't rule him out for the preseason opener Thursday, Aug. 13. WR Kamar Aiken has a better grasp of the No. 2 receiver job with injuries to Perriman and WR Marlon Brown. The Ravens don't think Perriman's injury is serious, and he has time to catch up even if he misses the game Thursday.

Fantasy Tip: The Ravens were expecting Perriman to replace the speedy deep threat of Torrey Smith when they drafted him in the first round this year. Despite his injury, he could easily be ready for Week 1. He's more of a late-round target as a flier in standard leagues. Be prepared for tons of inconsistency in his rookie season.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken listed as starter

Thu, 06 Aug 2015 16:27:55 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken is listed with the starters on the Ravens' first official depth chart.

Fantasy Tip: Rookie WR Breshad Perriman has a good chance of giving Aiken a run for his money for the No. 2 receiver job before all is said and done. Perriman has more upside than Aiken and should be drafted first. Aiken had performed well this offseason, though, and is a nice sleeper as Baltimore's second or third wide receiver.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken ahead for now

Tue, 28 Jul 2015 22:46:13 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken worked consistently with the first-team offense throughout minicamps and organized team activities (OTAs). He is trying to hold off WRs Marlon Brown and Breshad Perriman for the starting job opposite WR Steve Smith Sr.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken still has a lot of work to do if he is to win a prominent role, but he appears to have a leg up for now. Watch him in training camp and the preseason before considering him for a spot as a WR3/4 or flex fantasy option in standard formats.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken has chemistry with QB

Wed, 24 Jun 2015 13:31:15 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken showed a very good chemistry with QB Joe Flacco during offseason workouts and will be a candidate for one of the starting wide receiver jobs during training camp.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken recorded only 267 yards and three touchdowns last season but should have a bigger role in the passing game this season. Owners should monitor his progress during training camp since he could be a late-round option in deeper leagues.

Wed, 03 Jun 2015 22:27:10 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken worked opposite WR Steve Smith Sr. with the first-team offense in practice Wednesday, June 3, during organized team activities (OTAs). He made several impressive catches.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken is still not assured of a starting role, but if he continues to show well during offseason workouts and into training camp, his probability of landing a starting gig could increase significantly. He is a sleeper worth watching.
