Ravens | Kamar Aiken's role changing?

Fri, 16 Sep 2016 19:41:16 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken played 53 percent of the offensive snaps and 16 snaps on special teams in Week 1 after playing nearly 83 percent of offensive snaps and just 14 total snaps on special teams in 2015.

Fantasy Tip: Improved depth at the receiver spot will make it tough for Aiken to duplicate his 75-catch campaign from last season. The Browns represent a juicy matchup in Week 2, but Aiken is still a shot-in-the-dark play.

Sat, 20 Aug 2016 22:19:43 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken cashed in his only reception in the preseason game Saturday, Aug. 20, against the Indianapolis Colts for a 14-yard touchdown.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken is expected to serve as the starter opposite Steve Smith once everyone is healthy and the games start to count for real. He should be treated as a WR4 in most standard fantasy formats.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken's numbers could suffer

Thu, 18 Aug 2016 21:49:05 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken had 25 catches for 333 yards in eight games with WR Steve Smith last year, and Aiken had 50 catches for 611 yards in the eight games Smith missed.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken is a popular fantasy sleeper, but if Smith and Breshad Perriman stay healthy, Aiken could struggle to make an impact. He is worth a late-round grab, but don't overpay.

Ravens | Uneven practice for Kamar Aiken

Sat, 30 Jul 2016 17:29:59 -0700

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken dropped a couple of passes during practice Friday, July 29, but he also caught a couple of deep passes, including a long touchdown.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken is currently leading the Baltimore receiving corps thanks to all the injuries, but by the time Week 1 rolls around, there is a good chance he won't be a starter. He is worth a look in the late rounds, but Aiken could struggle to make a consistent fantasy impact.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken signs tender

Mon, 18 Apr 2016 06:46:06 -0700

Baltimore Ravens restricted free-agent WR Kamar Aiken signed his tender Monday, April 18.

Fantasy Tip: Injuries opened a big role for Aiken last season, and he put up a 75-944-5 line. The addition of Mike Wallace and the returns of Steve Smith (Achilles') and Breshad Perriman (knee) could trump Aiken's role on the team. For now, he's a WR4 that could have room for more.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken has second-round tender

Tue, 08 Mar 2016 09:12:59 -0800

Baltimore Ravens restricted free-agent WR Kamar Aiken received a second-round tender from the club worth $2.55 million.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken delivered a 75-944-5 line as injuries decimated the Ravens in 2015. He didn't display a lot of big-play ability, though, and only topped 100 yards once. If Steve Smith returns from his Achilles' injury and can continue to make plays, Aiken could be a dependable WR3 in fantasy.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken should return to Baltimore

Tue, 26 Jan 2016 14:21:18 -0800

Baltimore Ravens impending free-agent WR Kamar Aiken is expected to be re-signed this offseason, according to Clifton Brown of CSNMidAtlantic.com.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken is a restricted free agent, so the Ravens will be able to match any offer Aiken receivers from other teams. It would be no surprise to Aiken return to the Ravens after a stellar 2015 season in which he filled in splendidly for Steve Smith. Smith and Aiken would make a nice 1-2 wide receiver punch in Baltimore, but they should only be viewed as a WR3 and WR4, respectively.

Ravens | Baltimore wants to add receiver

Thu, 21 Jan 2016 15:04:09 -0800

Baltimore Ravens WRs Steve Smith, Kamar Aiken, Breshad Perriman and others may have more company next season. General manager Ozzie Newsome said the Ravens have to add depth at wide receiver this offseason, whether it be through the NFL Draft or through free agency.

Fantasy Tip: Unless it's a big-name free agent that joins the Ravens, it's likely that Smith and Aiken will maintain their positions as the top two wide receivers in Baltimore. Perriman has yet to show his full potential after being injured for the better part of his rookie season, but he could come onto the scene in 2016.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken has coming out season

Mon, 18 Jan 2016 12:22:45 -0800

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken finished the 2015 season with 75 catches for 944 yards and five touchdowns. They were all career-highs.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken was called upon early and often in Baltimore's offense after Steve Smith suffered a season-ending injury. Smith is expected to return next season, so Aiken's value will likely take a hit, but he's still not a bad low-end WR3 to high-end WR4 option.

Ravens | Kamar Aiken could set franchise record

Wed, 30 Dec 2015 12:32:03 -0800

Baltimore Ravens WR Kamar Aiken needs five catches to pass Derrick Mason for the most consecutive five-catch games in one season for the Ravens. Mason had eight such games in 2007.

Fantasy Tip: Aiken ($6,100, 12.2%$ of cap) has come on strong since Steve Smith was injured and out for the season. He is Baltimore's undisputed No. 1 receiving threat, and really their only reliable option in the passing game. He needs 132 receiving yards this week to attain 1,000 receiving yards on the season. He does have a tougher matchup versus the Cincinnati Bengals, but he's still worth a spot on FantasyScore as a WR2.
