Minnesota Vikings LB Larry Dean could get a chance to play on defense next season if the team can get over his size. Dean is expected to get more playing time on special teams after being one of the most productive players on special teams in 2012.

The Minnesota Vikings agreed to terms with 14 undrafted rookie free-agents Wednesday, July 27. The list includes OGs Rod Huntley (UTEP), Byron Isom (Auburn) and Conan Amituanai (Arizona), FB/TE Allen Reisner (Iowa), CBs Marcell Gipson (Wyoming) and Devon Torrence (Ohio State), DE David Akinniyi (N.C. State), WRs Andre Holmes (Hillsdale) and Dominique Johnson (Cal Poly), FSs Ryan Hill (Miami) and Chris Adingupu (Prairie View), RB Matt Asiata (Utah), LB Larry Dean (Valdosta State) and PK Nate Whitaker (Stanford).

Valdosta State LB Larry Dean measured 5-foot-11 3/4, 229 pounds at his Pro Day. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.59 seconds and 4.50 seconds, the short shuttle in 4.37 seconds and 6.79 seconds. He measured a 36 1/2-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot-1 broad jump and completed 22 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press.
