Fri, 17 Nov 2017 17:03:20 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (hip) fully participated in practice Friday, Nov. 17.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin has been targeted at least eight times in four of his last five games and has 18 catches in the last three games. He is the No. 1 receiver for the Seahawks and can be a No. 2 receiver in all fantasy leagues.

Thu, 16 Nov 2017 17:04:20 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (hip) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 16.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin has recorded at least 90 yards in three of his last four games and has two touchdowns during that span. He should be considered a solid No. 2 receiver in fantasy leagues this season.

Thu, 09 Nov 2017 23:24:51 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (groin) indicated he injured his groin during the pregame Thursday, Nov. 9, but played through the injury.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin seemed none the worse for wear, leading the team in receiving yards, but it's something to file away and check back on when Seattle returns to practice heading into their Week 11 game.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin leads club in receiving

Thu, 09 Nov 2017 22:36:30 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin hauled in five passes for 95 yards in Week 10 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy Tip: More than half of those yards came on Russell Wilson's insane scramble play, but it doesn't matter how you get 'em. While Baldwin isn't having a huge year he's the team's steadiest contributor in the passing game and a solid WR2.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin posts 108 yards, TD

Sun, 05 Nov 2017 20:50:25 -0800

Seattle Seahawks QB Doug Baldwin posted seven receptions for 108 yards and a touchdown in the Week 9 game against the Washington Redskins on 12 targets.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin has six or more grabs in each of his past three games, posting 254 yards and two scores during the span. He remains a borderline WR1/2 in PPR formats, and a WR2 in standard play.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin posts six receptions

Sun, 29 Oct 2017 18:59:33 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin racked up six receptions for 54 yards in the Week 8 game against the Houston Texans on his 10 targets.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin wasn't able to get in on the scoring in the 41-38 shootout, but it still wasn't a terrible day for PPR owners. Those in standard formats can't be terribly pleased, however. He'll look for better results in Week 9 against the Redskins.

Seahawks | Nine grabs for Doug Baldwin

Sun, 22 Oct 2017 19:49:37 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin caught nine passes on 12 targets for 92 yards and a touchdown in a 24-7 win over the New York Giants in Week 7.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin has seen at least eight targets in four of the last five games, and his steady role in the passing attack makes him a high-floor WR2.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin posts four grabs

Sun, 08 Oct 2017 20:36:36 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin posted four receptions for 37 yards on eight targets in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin was dealing with a groin injury earlier this week, so perhaps that slowed him a bit in this one. He has three games with 44 or fewer yards over the past four outings, not exactly what you expect out of a borderline WR1/2. He'll have two weeks to get it together with a bye in Week 6.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin back at practice

Thu, 05 Oct 2017 18:41:10 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (groin) returned to practice Thursday, Oct. 5, and logged a full session.

Fantasy Tip: Unless Baldwin suffers a setback, he should be set to face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5. Consider him a high-end WR2 against an improved Rams squad.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin sidelined at practice

Wed, 04 Oct 2017 17:19:52 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (groin) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 4.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin's owners shouldn't be alarmed yet, as the 29-year-old only participated in one practice last week before suiting up opposite the Colts. However, he's still worth monitoring throughout the week, as Baldwin is coming off a game that saw him register season lows in catches (three) and receiving yards (35).

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin posts three grabs

Sun, 01 Oct 2017 21:27:13 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin hauled in three receptions for 35 yards in Week 4 against the Indianapolis Colts.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin was a question mark for this one due to a groin injury, but he was able to play and didn't appear to have any setbacks. Still, the production wasn't great from a fantasy perspective. If healthy, he could be in line for a big week against the Rams in Week 5.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin active for SNF

Sun, 01 Oct 2017 16:25:50 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (groin) is active for the Week 4 game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin might not be 100 percent, but may not matter against a Colts passing defense which has been beaten up this season. If you rolled the dice on Baldwin being active for the late game, the move should pay off handsomely barring any setbacks.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin hopeful of playing Sunday

Sun, 01 Oct 2017 06:17:59 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (groin) will attempt to play in Week 4's game against the Indianapolis Colts, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin was listed as questionable on the injury report and was only able to practice on a limited basis Friday, Sept. 29. He makes a risky starting option this week in all fantasy formats because the Seahawks play on Sunday Night Football and it is uncertain if his snaps would be limited.

Fri, 29 Sep 2017 17:18:33 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (groin) was limited during practice Friday, Sept. 29, and is listed as questionable for Week 4.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin will be a game-time decision this week, which makes him a risky option since the Seahawks play on Sunday Night Football. Fantasy owners could consider benching Baldwin if they have healthier options since Baldwin may be limited if he does play.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin to be game-time decision

Fri, 29 Sep 2017 10:36:23 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (groin) is expected to be a game-time decision in Week 4 against the Indianapolis Colts, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

Fantasy Tip: Based on earlier reports, it is more likely than not Baldwin will play, although owners should make other plans just in case. If Baldwin plays, he should be a high-end WR2 at the very least. If Baldwin said, Tyler Lockett will likely absorb most of Baldwin's slot duties and figures to be the best play among Seattle receivers. Baldwin's absence would also presumably free up Jimmy Graham to be the focal point of the Seahawks' passing attack.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin sits again

Thu, 28 Sep 2017 17:23:34 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (groin) did not participate in practice Thursday, Sept. 28.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin day-to-day

Mon, 25 Sep 2017 18:38:40 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (groin) is considered day-to-day after undergoing tests on the strained groin he suffered in Week 3, according to sources. He may have a chance to play in the team's Week 4 game.

Fantasy Tip: Owners should keep an eye on Baldwin's practice participation this week to see if Baldwin will be in uniform this week. He is coming off a terrific Week 3 performance where he posted 105 yards and one touchdown. Baldwin is a must-start option in all leagues if he is active, but owners will need a backup plan in case he sits out.

Mon, 25 Sep 2017 07:57:23 -0700

Updating previous reports, Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (groin) will have an MRI Monday, Sept. 25, but his groin injury isn't believed to be serious.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin had a 10-105-1 performance and is a high-end WR2 if he's able to suit up against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin injures groin

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 18:16:36 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (groin) exited in the fourth quarter against the Tennessee Titans in Week 3 with a groin injury, and head coach Pete Carroll said the severity of the injury is not yet known. Baldwin had 10 catches on 15 targets for 105 yards and a touchdown before departing.

Fantasy Tip: Check back for updates on Baldwin's status. He is a high-end WR2 as long as he is healthy, but if he is forced to miss time, Paul Richardson could see a significant boost in his value.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin gets day to rest

Wed, 20 Sep 2017 16:42:01 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (rest) was given the day off to rest at practice Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin is off to a slow start, posting 10 grabs for 107 yards with no scores through two games. He obviously hasn't had that breakthrough game which made him an early-round fantasy pick. The Seattle offense has struggled through two games, but they'll get on track. No need to push the panic button on Baldwin just yet.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin efficient Friday

Sat, 19 Aug 2017 08:23:25 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin, all four of his targets for 69 yards versus the Minnesota Vikings on Friday, Aug. 18.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin looked every bit like the low-end WR1 he is being drafted as this summer, routinely creating separation and piling up yards after the catch. He's not going to bring the monster upside of the elite group of receivers such as Antonio Brown, Odell Beckham Jr. and Julio Jones, but a season of at least 80 catches, 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns is well within reason for Baldwin in 2017.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin practicing again

Tue, 15 Aug 2017 11:51:00 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (leg) returned to practice Tuesday, Aug. 15.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin is fine, as head coach Pete Carroll had indicated he would be. Coming off back-to-back WR1 seasons, Baldwin should once again be targeted in that territory as Russell Wilson's top target.

Fri, 11 Aug 2017 14:33:10 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (leg) will not play in the preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday, Aug. 13, but he will be fine, according to head coach Pete Carroll.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin probably will return to practice at some point next week and will be fine for the start of the regular season. He has posted at least 1,000 yards in each of the last two seasons and has 21 touchdowns over those two years. Owners should see him as a No. 2 receiver in all fantasy leagues.

Sun, 02 Jul 2017 17:44:21 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin said it's "not a question" that he is going to retire as a member of the Seahawks.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin has emerged as one of Russell Wilson's main targets the last two seasons, and he should be one of the better WR2 options in 2017.

Seahawks | Steady growth for Doug Baldwin

Sat, 25 Feb 2017 20:26:05 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin finished the 2016 season with 94 catches on 126 targets for 1,128 yards, all career highs, and it was the fourth consecutive season he has improved in all three categories.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin didn't find the end zone as much this year, but he finished seventh in the NFL in receptions and 11th in yards. He looks locked in as a WR2 heading into 2017.

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin caught 56 passes for 751 yards and four touchdowns at home this season. He caught 38 passes for 377 yards and three touchdowns on the road.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin has posted at least 1,000 yards in the last two seasons and has 21 touchdowns combined during those seasons. Baldwin should continue to be the top receiver for the Seahawks next season and can be a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver for fantasy owners.

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin had five catches on nine targets for 80 yards and a touchdown in a 36-20 loss to the Atlanta Falcons Saturday, Jan. 14.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin capped his year with another trip to the end zone, and he is firmly entrenched as Russell Wilson's go-to target. Draft him as a high-floor WR2 in 2017.

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin finished with 11 catches on 12 targets for 104 yards and a touchdown in a 26-6 win over the Detroit Lions Saturday, Jan. 7.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin and Russell Wilson are in rhythm right now, and Baldwin has three touchdowns in the last four games dating back to the end of the regular season. He should be one of the top receiver plays in what figures to be a high-scoring shootout against Atlanta in the divisional round.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin nearing team record

Mon, 26 Dec 2016 09:03:33 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin has 92 catches in 2016 and needs three more to set the club's single-season record. Bobby Engram holds the current mark with 94 in 2007.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin is a near-lock to surpass Engram in Week 17 against the San Francisco 49ers. It should be noted he also stands a great chance of topping 100 as well since he was targeted on 14 of the 32 passes Russell Wilson threw following Tyler Lockett’s injury in Week 16. With the Seahawks' NFL Playoff seeding still up in the air, expect Baldwin to play his full complement of snaps in Week 17 and perform like a high-end WR2 at the very least.

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin posted 13 receptions for a season-high 171 yards and a touchdown on 19 targets in the Week 16 game against the Arizona Cardinals. He also ran twice for six yards.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin posted back-to-back touchdown receptions for the first time all season, and the 100-yard game was his first since Week 3 against San Francisco. Baldwin has managed back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns, and he second a career-high in yardage for the second consecutive season.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin fined

Sat, 26 Nov 2016 07:14:12 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin was fined $12,154 by the National Football League for unsportsmanlike conduct in Week 11's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. He was spotted giving offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell the middle finger before throwing a 15-yard touchdown pass to QB Russell Wilson on a trick play. After the game, Baldwin said he did the gesture in a joking manner because he likes to catch touchdowns in the red zone instead of throwing them.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin has 16 receptions for 252 yards and three receiving touchdowns this month, in addition to his TD pass versus the Eagles. He should be viewed as a must-start WR2 in all fantasy formats against a vulnerable Tampa Bay secondary this week.

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin had four reception for 104 yards on five targets in the Week 11 game against the Philadelphia Eagles and he also tossed a 15-yard touchdown pass.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin had three touchdowns last week and a 100-yard game with a TD strike in this one. He has re-emerged as a must-start WR2 in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 12 at Tampa Bay against their leaky pass defense.

Sun, 13 Nov 2016 22:33:46 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin hauled in six receptions for 69 yards with three touchdowns in the Week 10 game against the New England Patriots. He was targeted eight times.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin visited the end zone for the first time since Week 3, snapping a five-game scoreless span. He still has four or more receptions in each of the past seven games making him a solid low-end WR2, especially in PPR formats.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin has solid stat line

Mon, 07 Nov 2016 21:54:38 -0800

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin posted six receptions for 89 yards in the Week 9 game against the Buffalo Bills. He was targeted six times.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin started off quickly, but failed to hit triple digits which was a disappointment to some fantasy owners who get bonuses for 100 or more yards. He hasn't found the end zone in five games dating back to Week 3 against San Francisco. Baldwin remains more of a WR3 heading into Week 10 in New England until he shows more consistency.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin doesn't do much

Sun, 30 Oct 2016 18:00:25 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin posted four catches for 51 yards in the Week 8 game against the New Orleans Saints on six targets.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin has taken a little bit of a step back after a breakout performance in 2015, but his production is tied to that of QB Russell Wilson, who has been banged up and struggling. If Wilson gets healthier, Baldwin's production will increase. As it stands, Baldwin is a solid flex fantasy option in most formats.

Sun, 02 Oct 2016 18:34:43 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (knee) posted four receptions for 54 yards on his only four targets in the Week 4 game against the New York Jets.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin did not show any ill-effects of his knee injury and will have the bye in Week 5 to really get back to 100 percent. He is a solid low-end WR2 or must-start WR3 in all fantasy leagues heading into Week 6 against the Falcons.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin set to play

Fri, 23 Sep 2016 18:47:43 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (knee) was a full participant in practice Friday, Sept. 23, and he was not listed on the injury report for Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fantasy Tip: With Russell Wilson banged up and the Seahawks struggling on offense to open the year, Baldwin is a WR3 against the 49ers.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin a full go

Thu, 22 Sep 2016 20:56:36 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (knee) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Sept. 22.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin has become Seattle's go-to weapon in the passing game, and as long as the reports on his knee remain positive, he should be fine starting option against the 49ers in Week 3.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin expected to play

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (knee) is expected to play in the Week 3 game against the San Francisco. Head coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday, Sept. 21, that Baldwin is "on track to play." Carroll said Baldwin's injury was a "little knee twist," and tests revealed no significant damage.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin has been a decent low-end WR2 in most fantasy leagues, but due to his health he should be treated as a WR3 in Week 3.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin listed as limited

Wed, 21 Sep 2016 17:41:46 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Sept. 21.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin is expected to play this week, but owners should monitor the situation during the week. He caught only three passes for 20 yards in the last game but should be more involved in the passing game in Week 3. He should be considered a No. 2 or No. 3 receiver in most leagues.

Seahawks | MRI negative for Doug Baldwin

Mon, 19 Sep 2016 14:28:26 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin's (knee) MRI came back negative Monday, Sept. 19, according to a source.

Fantasy Tip: The Seahawks have now survived at least two scares from Week 2 with Tyler Lockett and Baldwin, their two best receivers, avoiding serious injuries. As is the case with anyone who is newly injured, Baldwin's participation in practice this week should be closely monitored. He'll remain in the WR2 conversation this week against the San Francisco 49ers if he is able to go.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin to have MRI

Mon, 19 Sep 2016 05:20:13 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (knee, back) will have an MRI Monday, Sept. 19, for a knee injury he suffered in Week 2. He also experienced back spasms during the game.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin had a quiet three catches for 20 yards in Week 2 after a big Week 1 performance. He has a good matchup against the San Francisco 49ers next week, but we'll know more about his status after the MRI.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse had most snaps

Mon, 12 Sep 2016 14:39:38 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WRs Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse each played 70 of 82 possible snaps (85 percent) in Week 1. WR Tyler Lockett was in on 62 of the 80 snaps (76 percent).

Fantasy Tip: Kearse appears to be the No. 2 wide receiver behind Baldwin for now. The Seahawks may be using Lockett a little bit less in order to better preserve him for his integral return specialist role. Going forward, Baldwin is a weekly WR2 as long as Russell Wilson is healthy. Kearse is more of a WR4 consideration, while Lockett is in low-end WR3 territory. Lockett is arguably the Seahawks' best playmaking threat and has even more value in leagues that reward return yardage.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin has solid afternoon

Sun, 11 Sep 2016 22:25:23 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin posted nine receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins. He was targeted 11 times, including for the game-winning score in the fourth quarter.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin has emerged as a stud fantasy receiver over the past two seasons and normally he should be treated as a legitimate WR2 in most formats. However, he faces a tough matchup in Week 2 at Los Angeles, and Russell Wilson suffered an ankle injury, so treat him more as a WR3 in the upcoming week.

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin missed practice

Sat, 06 Aug 2016 07:14:55 -0700

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (leg) did not participate in practice Friday, Aug. 5, but was able to do some running and caught passes from quarterbacks. He had his leg stepped on earlier in the week but should return soon.

Fantasy Tip: Baldwin probably will return to practice in a day or two and should be fine moving forward. He had an unbelievable stretch of games in 2015 and should be a main part of Seattle's passing game this season. He can be considered a No. 2 wide receiver in most leagues and should be a weekly starting option.
