There have been no talks between the Seattle Seahawks and CB Richard Sherman on a new contract yet. It is believed Sherman will ask the team to reconfigure his contract. That request has not come yet.

Seattle Seahawks CB Richard Sherman claimed the team cracked the Denver Broncos offense and figured out some of QB Peyton Manning's signals. "All we did was play situational football," Sherman said. "We knew what route concepts they liked on different downs, so we jumped all the routes. Then we figured out the hand signals for a few of the route audibles in the first half."

Seattle Seahawks CB Richard Sherman confirmed that he will play the left side in Super Bowl XLVIII against the Denver Broncos and won't shadow Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas. Sherman said they don't plan to add any new schemes to deal with QB Peyton Manning. "We don't vary or disguise coverage on anybody," Sherman said. "We play a pretty simple defense, for the most part you know what we are going to do every play. And you got to line up and play it and I think that is how we have been all season. This is the last game of the season, there is no time to change it now. No new wrinkles for us."

"I think it did have some effect on opening up the channels of communication and conversation and dialogue," Sherman said. "I think I had some impact on it, and I want to have a positive impact. I want people to understand that everybody should be judged by their character and who they are as a person and not by the color of their skin."

When 49ers WR Anquan Boldin gained 207 yards on 13 catches in game one, the team stuck Sherman on Boldin 75 percent of the time during the Seahawks and 49ers' first meeting. Seattle Seahawks CB Richard Sherman said Adderall is so commonly used among NFL players that the league ought to just accept it and take Adderall off the banned list. "About half the league takes it (Adderall) and the league has to allow it," Sherman said. "The league made a mistake in my case. Obviously, I didn't do anything, but you have to go through a process to prove you didn't do anything. There are still naysayers out there who don't believe me. But I accept it. If everybody loves you, it probably means you're not much of a player."

A major part of Sherman's appeal, which was heard Friday, Dec. 21, involved his claim that the cup containing his urine specimen was leaking, prompting the collector to place a second cup underneath it to capture any leakage, the source said.
