Special teams coach Shawn Slocum said Ross is "a natural catcher of the ball" and has "excellent speed…good vision." "Let's don't put the cart before the horse," Slocum said. "Let the week's progression take its natural course. We'll make those decisions. Randall's our returner and at this point I don't anticipate changing a whole lot."

He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.46 seconds and 4.48 seconds, the short shuttle in 4.24 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.19 seconds. He measured a 39-inch vertical jump, a 9-foot-9 broad jump and completed 22 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press.
