"He's an unbelievable player," RP Heath Bell said. "If he were on the east coast, he'd be (considered) one of the best in the game. I think he is one of the best in the game as it is. We don't get a whole lot of limelight here in Arizona. He's just an amazing player." Goldschmidt had four home runs in three games against the Los Angeles Dodgers. One scout noted that Goldschmidt is a pure hitter unlike most of the other first basemen in the majors. "He's not giving away a single at-bat right now," a scout said. "He's unreal. He's so locked in. He's got monster power and now he's kind of understanding his game on a different level." Fantasy Tip: Goldschmidt is being compared by scouts to some of the elite power hitters in the game, if that means anything to you. The Diamondbacks look very smart right now by locking him up to a deal that can keep him under club control through the 2019 season. He's becoming a special player and guy that you might want to try trading for in keeper leagues.

He went 1-for-3 with a pair of walks, a run scored and an RBI Sunday, April 21, against the Colorado Rockies. Fantasy Tip: Manager Kirk Gibson rested many of his regulars over the weekend, with some like Miguel Montero, Gerardo Parra, etc. getting their first day off of the season. While Goldschmidt remains an obvious must-start in all fantasy leagues, don't be surprised to see him rest at some point during the upcoming week.
