New York Jets DL Kenrick Ellis likely will serve 45 days in jail after entering an Alford plea to a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery. An Alford plea is when a defendant enters a guilty plea but states their innocence. Ellis is expected to start his jail sentence June 15.
