The Tennessee Titans have several defensive tackles vying for spots heading into training camp. DL Shaun Smith is worried about his roster spot since he is scheduled to make $2 million. The team also has DLs Jurrell Casey, Zach Clayton, Lamar Divens, DaJohn Harris, Karl Klug, Sen'Derrick Marks and Mike Martin in the mix. "With the guys we drafted and the guys we have here, I think there's a lot of competition," defensive coordinator Jerry Gray said. "The good thing is that if anyone rests, they know the guys behind them are really doing a great job."

The Tennessee Titans have DLs Derrick Morgan and Malcolm Sheppard returning, as well as DL Jurrell Casey and Karl Klug, but they plan to add at least one more free-agent to bolster a pass rush which ranked 31st in sacks last season.

University of Iowa DL Karl Klug measured 6-foot-3 1/8, 275 pounds at his Pro Day Monday, March 21, reports Gil Brandt, of NFL.com. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.81 seconds and 4.83 seconds, the short shuttle in 4.60 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.01 seconds. He measured a 29 1/2-inch vertical jump, a 9-foot-5 broad jump and completed 21 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press.
